Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

"1619 Project Creator Admits 'It Is Not A History' But a Fight 'to Control the National Narrative'"
"You see the little rift? 'Believe this, not because it is true, but for some other reason.' That's the game." -- Screwtape, Letter XXIII The effort to dox and harass can come out of anywhere. SecondCityCop reports that a teacher from the Chicago Public Schools, “has also taken it upon himself to publicly name, dox and harass a CPD mom who has kids who go to Bridge Elementary up north.” Not unusual really, using children, to score some cheap political point. Where's the Chicago Teachers Union? Did they sanction the unethical, irresponsible, and unprofessional act of revealing personal, private information on students or their families? Why, NO; no they didn't; they defended it.
"Monkeys have taken over city"You're baiting us, aren't you? Sorry, I won't go there...
"For fools rush in ..." and all of that:
QUOTE: Thailand: Police say monkeys have taken over city and fight to control them is now ‘hopeless’ The rabid, dim-witted tyrants "reclaiming their time" from AG Barr yesterday weren't in Thailand, unfortunately. When you think that burning down someone's house is not violence but calling them by the wrong pronoun is...
Perhaps someone will accept the invitation to this 'non-violent' action?
We've gone from "Silence=Consent" in the '80s to "Silence is Violence" when you don't loudly proclaim for whatever the cause of the moment is.
"Thailand: Police say monkeys have taken over city and fight to control them is now hopeless"
Sounds like Portland and Seattle. You GOT it!
Portland and Seattle: Let's all stay away from both. "I Was Invited to Testify on Energy Policy. Then Democrats Didn’t Let Me Speak": He'd harsh the Dems' mellow (if there IS one), and the Dems can't stand that! Tax Happy in Illinois: Chicago gangsters, Springfield gangsters... 1619 Project Creator Admits “It Is Not A History” But a Fight “to Control the National Narrative”: You don't say. We knew that was a pack of lies. The 1619 Project: When ‘History’ Isn’t History...Lefties lieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Arson Isn’t Violence, Argues NY Times 1619 Author: But it would be if YOUR house was burned down... NY Times: BLM protesters wonder if the movement has lost focus as they make ‘room for rage’ (Update) REALLY???? This is one reason (of MANY) that I say that I despise, detest, and distrust the NYT (and its little dog WaPoo, too!) In the article "Dispatch From Portland" one of the rioters claimed that the police hurt her shoulder. I have lived in this country for 77 years and the police have never hurt my should or beat me up. What do you suppose the difference is??? Hmmm, I don't go to riots and throw rocks and bombs at police. Do you think that might be it?
There is an under lying reason that the left is upset about the federal officers arresting the rioters. The federal officers are following traditional police practices and trying to use these arrests to find out more about the "organization" that supports and drives these riots. For unfathomable reasons the local police do not and never have. Wouldn't it be useful to know who is supplying the rioters with weapons and explosives? Since some of the rioters are paid to riot wouldn't it be useful to know who pays them? That is what the federal officers are following up on and it has touched a nerve. These instigators must have contacts at high levels because suddenly the mayors and governors are siding with them to get the federal law enforcement to stop doing this.
For example, when rioters are jailed their bail is immediately sent to bail them out. It isn't paid in person it is paid through wire transfers. Who pays that? Well the federal LEO has been looking into this and that scares those in leadership of this anarchy. I hope the federal government publishes this information and I suspect that at the top it is George Soros. Axios Focus Group in Michigan Finds Bad News for Biden
QUOTE: So they went out there. And they found something very troubling. They paid a ton of money to go out there and do focus group work on swing state voters. The problem is that the swing state voters they assembled in their focus group didn’t tell them what they wanted to hear. . . . Only two of the nine voters in the swing state focus group actually plan to vote for Biden. The other seven Axios doesn’t say, but they’re probably either undecided or more likely voting again for Trump. https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2020/07/28/axios-focus-group-in-michigan-finds-bad-news-for-biden/ "Thailand: Police say monkeys have taken over city and fight to control them is now ‘hopeless" The re doesn't seem to be much difference between these monkeys and the rioters in major American cities. Both groups expect everything they demand to be given to them. Sterilizing the rioters may be a good idea so they don't reproduce. Obviously their behavior must be considered acceptable to their parents as they haven't been taught morals and reasonable behavior. Hoe about the arsonist that was caught because his grandmother wrote a good review of riot gear. I'm afraid the country is gone..
There is a simple solution to this problem. For $100,000 I will fix it in a week. A 12 gauge shotgun and 10-15 boxes of shells.
The 1619 project is just an extension of Zinn history.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Bed And Breakfast Removes Norwegian Flag After People Mistake It For Confederate Flag https://dailycaller.com/2020/07/29/bed-breakfast-removes-norwegian-flag-mistake-confederate-flag/ About " Should they be trying to injure federal officers every night with rocks, cans, lasers and fireworks? That’s the question BLM activists are wrestling with according to the NY Times." N.b. the starburst sort of firework is closely akin to a mortar firing concussion+white phosphorus rounds. Admittedly, the burn is short-lived.
