Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. The first wave of lockdowns certainly didn’t stop the spread of the virus, and more lockdowns will not stop it from spreading either.  And now three separate scientific studies have shown that COVID-19 antibodies disappear very, very rapidly, and that means that a vaccine is not going to end this crisis and we will never reach a point of “herd immunity”.  So we are going to have to find a way to function effectively as this virus circulates around the globe year after year, because it isn’t going to go away.


We simply cannot shut down the economy every time the number of cases starts to surge again.  The damage that we have already done to the U.S. economy has been incalculable, and now these new lockdowns will do even more damage.

Protecting and saving caribou by killing off wolves was the subject of the Disney film Never Cry Wolf nearly 40 years ago. The film is a dramatization of the Farley Mowat autobiography of the same name published in 1963.

Had any of these scientists observed or documented the killing of caribou by wolves?

If we rename the whole map, what sort of names shall be given? Certainly names of people are off limits. Surely in a few years the name chosen of a person, will be found to have committed some sinful act going against the politically correct thought of the day; or hour. Any name that comes to mind, a sufficiently woke individual will research, perhaps the first historical research they have ever done, and find reasons to disallow such a name. Digging through history would be very traumatic experience for a woke individual. Finding that every single person has committed some sin. Historical research must be abolished. We are then left with dry generic names; many places will have to have the same name, after all how many politically correct names can be found? I see a darkness.

While more trivial than your comments, one wonders how many more old TV shows will get deep sixed?

Think about it. Daniel Boone? How many Indian fights did he have in his 7 year run? Davey Crockett? Wagon Train? My feeble mind is drawing a blank, but there must be dozens of old shows, now in reruns, that can't pass the muster of the cancer cancel culture.

California: this is what you get when you elect statists who want to curtail your freedoms under the guise of "protecting you". Any fool can see that this anti-gig law was passed with the intent of protecting union interests, not improving the economy or giving more economic freedom.

I can only hope that this wakes up the idiots who voted for Gonzalez and her ilk. But I won't hold my breath.

Capitalism: I doubt they know the difference between Capitalism and Crony Capitalism, which has become the dominant model, or corporations and Corporatism. Real Capitalism and the original concept of the Corporation democratized wealth and opportunity. The globalists and the financialists gamed the original concepts to the sidelines, in part, by embracing over regulation and Unfair Trade. Trade that was ..intended.. to get around fair labor practices and environmental law.

I'm shocked NBC went public with this story. First because it showed the obvious bias of the new reader who is obviously shaken by the news. Second because it puts the response to the virus in an entirely different light and shows how simple it is to be safe: Since kids are not only essentially immune to the Wuhan virus but are also poor transmitters, there is no reason to put them in a cocoon. And since the population that is at risk is well defined - older people and those with certain, known conditions - it is a simple thing to protect them.

Now that we know this, our reaction to the Wuhan virus should be very different and much more open.

Getting her out of there would've been messy, that's for sure. Every time she says or tweets something I feel relieved that she's not President. Deeply relieved. And yeah, her being Prez probably would've made the current pandemic about as visible as the anti-war movement was after Obama was sworn in.

During the Vietnam war, but mostly after Democrats lost the presidency, the left rioted and bombed and killed people in the name of peace. What we know now many years later is that a lot of their support and leadership came directly from Russia. The communists used American leftists to sow dissent in America in the hope that they could undermine our country. The leaders of the anti-war effort back then were committed socialists/communists who hated America. They were also fully supported by Democrats who guided their efforts to destroy the Republican president.

What we have today is, not surprisingly, almost identical. Foriegn communist/socialist money coming in to support a communist/socialist activist group , BLM, aided by Democrats in sowing dissent and destroying a Republican presidency.

It is unbelievable how easily the Democrats will choose communism and foreign interference over America. I assume if Trump were to win in November that the left will resort to bombing and political killing as they did in the 60's.
