We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Good fun. He is right that Obama and Biden behaved like traitors to the country, but few will say so. And he is right: the media is designed to make people upset.
I enjoy Dilbert, but Scott Adams' podcast takes just too much time in a busy life. Over 1 hour a day is just too much. If he would publish transcripts I would read those as I can skip the doo-de-dum-de-doo drivel and then skim for paragraphs on topics of interest.
I supposed if I had a job with a one+-hour commute I might feel differently...
It's worse than that. The media have decided that they exist for the purpose of keeping everybody scared. If ever two or three weeks pass without some "crisis" making half the world cringe, they'll invent another phony emergency to sell as a crisis.
And I agree strongly with ASF. There aren't enough hours in a day to spend listening to someone ramble like a pothead for an hour, and it may be calming to Scott but it leaves me wanting to respond like a drill sergeant.
