Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Snow

Rocky Mountain High. From a reader skiing in Loveland, CO yesterday. I'd love to be there now because that is really living to the fullest. My quads, glutes, and hammies are fit for more skiing. Probably needs to be a guys' trip, though. Many wives seem to have lost interest in this cheap sort-of-costly, high-energy thrill.

So this makes my wife, who insists on TWO ski trips per year, a Pearl Beyond Price. I will continue to take the stairs to keep the quads and glutes in fine fettle so I can keep up with her.

That would be Loveland Ski Area at Loveland Pass, Colorado. The city of Loveland is east, in the flatland.

There, my job is done. You kids get off my lawn.
