We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
"What last words would you have for your loved ones after death? What if you were suspended in Limbo so that you could send them these words in dreams, advice that would release you from Limbo? This novel begins with a woman's ritual self-sacrifice, then proceeds through the advice she wished she had told her son about how to love a woman. Should her son be able to receive her dreams, she will be released from her Limbo. What does she say about loving a woman? What does her last lover recall about her? And what does her son dream? This novel tells you the tale.”
