bleak prospects for local print newspapers I'm doing my part to drive our local rag out of business. I refuse to subscribe because of their flaming liberal bias. It's a shame because they do print good local news. I even went in to talk to the editor about her bias. She was unmoved and so was I.

If your local newspaper is anything like my local newspaper, it's good riddance to bad rubbish. In my case, it's not that the local paper is liberal, it's that the owner of the paper is part of the good ole boy network that runs the town and the county. If you look at the mayor and the city council, the county commissioners and the school board members, the local bank's board of directors and the Chamber of Commerce, the football booster club leadership and the garden club and the First Baptist Church bigwigs, you'll see the same family names over and over and the newspaper owner is one of them. And if you want to know these family names, just look at the billboard in front of any new city or county building site - the contractors, the financers, the supporters and the officials responsible for the project are all right there. And as we say, if the mayor got caught molesting a goat on the town square, you'd never hear a peep about it in the newspaper.

There were a few blogs who predicted a mass shooting to take the attention away from the Democrats most recent problems. Then conveniently we had 3 mass shootings in a row all Democrats, a couple seemed to lean towards left wing activism and that was kinda suspicious. But now Epstein was Arkancided and I'm starting to think that maybe the conspiracy theorists were right. If I were Trump I would hire a food test/taster. Just saying...

Don't be silly, we all know that Trump was best buddies with Epstein and Epstein barely knew Bill Clinton. Or any other Democrats, for that matter. Which does make Epstein's suicide somewhat curious - why would Epstein commit suicide when he could be quite certain his best buddy Trump would absolutely issue him a pardon in return for keeping his mouth shut about all the dirt he had on Trump? Very curious that Epstein would act the same way you would expect someone who was not in fact best buddies with Trump and had no dirt on Trump to act.

"Would Canadians Tolerate endless illegal border crossings?"

A few years back I was crossing the Canadian border at one of the lesser used crossings. I was just approaching the checkpoint in one of the two lanes when a car passed going about 40 mph and ran the checkpoint. Literally within seconds, maybe ten seconds, three armed men with M16s and bullet proof vests exited the building and took up positions. Luckily the car turned around and slowly came back to the border crossing. It appeared to have been a stupid mistake. That is the road up to the border crossing was endless miles of two lane blacktop through the wilderness and suddenly you were at the crossing station. Apparently the driver simply wasn't paying attention. But the point is that Canadian border guards are armed and ready to shoot if you illegally cross their border.

Is that diesel generator in Australia? In south Australia the politicians decided to go green and use all that free energy from the sun and wind. Now they routinely have blackouts so people bought emergency generators.

That little red BMW electric car will set you back about US$45,000 in Australia. Range about 210 km on a charge.

Or you could just buy two Holden (aka Chevy) Trax LTs with all the bells and whistles for US$44,000. Range on a fill-up? Over 600 km.

They must have a cutoff where cases with an expected wait for less than say a month aren't counted.

Why not red flag laws for drivers. There are some bad drivers out there and cars kill more people than guns do.

How about red flag laws for people here illegally. Turn them in anonymously and the police must check them out and if they are here illegally then they get deported.
