We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I don't suffer from TDS, but I do suffer from TSDS - Trump Supporter Derangement Syndrome. There are places where one negative word about Trump and you're immediately bombarded with the worst sort of insults and imprecations by members of his cult who do not tolerate the merest slight of their messiah. The fact of the matter is, Trump is a horrible person, a thin-skinned egotistical blowhard with zero impulse control, a pathological liar who loves to hear himself talk, and his favorite subject is himself. Now, does this make him a bad President? We don't (or shouldn't, at any rate - pace JFK) hire Presidents for their looks and charm and charisma but for their ability to get things done and Trump has done tolerably well. But he's not perfect and it should be okay to say so.
I wonder why Trump haters start comments about reasonable questions then go right to hysteria? I don't like too watch him give speeches but also recognize that he is getting things done against enormous resistance. In many cases resistance that is insane in its lack of logic.
