We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Since the Green Deal seeks to eliminate cattle farts (hey, what about wild Bison?) by banning beef, I'd suggest banning beans due to human methane emission. Or, is it too extreme to suggest simply banning human existence entirely?

Some of their arguments were along the lines that cattle were ok as long as they were grass fed. Grain fed was a no no. Earth killing
Of course burning corn is ok for your gas tank.
Just not ruminants that are capable of digesting it.
( and reaching slaughter weight sooner than grass fed making an abundant, cheaper protein source. Can't have THAT)
Just banning beans and cows won't do the trick. You would also have to ban broccoli, cabbage, any kind of greens, all fruits, alcoholic beverages, in fact, just about everything you would put in your mouth. People who advocate this kind of thing are simple-minded dolts who get a thought and think they've discovered something important.
I could be wrong about this but I believe that the food a cow eats if not eaten and simply left to rot in the field will still produce the same chemicals. Perhaps slightly different but that is what happens to all vegetation. When an animal eats it that simply provides a place that it is captured and escapes noticeably from time to time. Except for my wife of course, She insists that she does not fart.
