Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

 I wish someone could explain the moral difference between going to a NICU unit and injecting poison into a premature baby that is causing the mother emotional stress & injecting poison into another baby – same age; same reason– that's in the womb?

They are essentially the same thing. As Shapiro says, the difference is a few inches (between in the womb and out of the womb).

The subject of abortion falls into a broader category of right-to-life issues vs. the moral bonds that hold all of us together.

Right now you can freeze embryos and sell them. You can contract with strangers to bring a baby to term. You can find a dead woman, remove her ovaries, and sell the eggs. You can patent the DNA of human beings. You can mix human DNA with animal DNA to create hybrid monsters. You can grow human brains, and use them as computers. It's all legal. But none of it is moral. The human race needs a full reset; and when that happens, these barbarous activities will have to end.

Real families are held together by marriage, by blood, and by culture.

Well one would be murder pure and simple. The other is a constitutional right found in the creases of the constitution by Justice Burger and 6 of his fellow Supreme Court judges.


Soon, in a different fold or crease of that old and ragged document 5 Supremes will find that the 2nd amendment didn't really mean that citizens had a right to carry a gun and that the federal and state governments could not write laws that infringed on that right.


Cheer up, if AOC and her ilk ever become a majority and, god forbid, ever control the presidency, the Senate and the House, they will make laws and regulations that will one day kill millions of us and put many more in jail.


Wake up Democrats, your party has turned communist on you.
