Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Had sex in a canoe once, in the Adirondacks, long ago. Also on top of a mountain on the same trip. She was one of the fun crazy ones. Good times.

I've done most, but favorite was rooftop of 25-story McAlpin Apartments (fmrly hotel) ......34th street and 6th Avenue, katty korner from Macy's. Uninterrupted view of Lower Manhattan.

In the bohío on my leased island in Gatun Lake watching the freighters and cruise ships transit the Panama canal. That was 55 years ago. I've come a long way since, mostly down.

On discontinued old county gravel road--now a gravel driveway. Kinda off to the side of the gravel! In the Rocky Mountain West ranch country. Wouldn't you know it--first time in two weeks anyone came to visit--after dinner, after dark, etc., etc.

Meadow in Mississippi, can still smell the wild flowers and the touch of my wife hands on my lower parts 45 years on.

Is every responder on this thread a male? it kind of seems like it.
As a woman, wildflower meadow appeals to me. I can imagine the smell of the grass and fields and flowers. And it would be soft. A beach would be even better though, with the roar of the surf and the smell of the ocean. There's something powerful about being near the sea. If sand bothers you, bring a big blanket.
