We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Hillary’s Hamartia

VDH: Hillary Clinton could have spared the country hours of wasted investigations, debates, and near civil war had she just made three easy ethical and logical choices.


The Greeks understood these things, and VDH knows the Greeks. 


Bill's wife's judgement has been poor most of her life. Arrogance has been a problem too. Blind ambition. Who is she, in her own imagination? Remarkable she got as far as she did, but she did manage to leave a trail of messes and corruption behind her while becoming a mega-millionaire in selfless "public service".

Thank God she did all those things. If not for that she may have indeed become President. Think of the dystopian world we would be living in today.

VDH is a treasure. HRC to me was always unlikable. I always saw her as conniving and dishonest. During the campaign it was clear she despised the people & voters that were not already supporters, exactly the people she should have been trying to bring to her side.

I am thankful everyday that she behaved as she did, and that DJT is POTUS.

Yeah. Just look at the advantages HRC had going into election day:

She had voter fraud on her side.

The media was in the tank for her.

The GOPe and the Never Trumpers supported her.

Every poll prior to the election was rigged to show her ahead.

The American people were told her chances of winning were 90%.

Wall St supported her.

George Soros supported her.

All the fringe democratic groups supported her.

Multinational corporations supported her.

World leaders supported her.

0bama and all the living past presidents supported her.

Her health problems were covered up and ignored.

3 people died in 2016 that may have had the goods on her.

She spent $1.3 billion try to get elected.

Members of the electoral college were threatened and intimidated.

. . . And with all that going for her, she still lost.

Perhaps it was Nemisis after all?
