We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Norway has gotten exactly what they voted for just like Venezuela and California. I wish I could work up some "care" but I can't. The citizens of Norway and change all of this in the next election, eject the "immigrants" and take back their country. But they won't. They will elect the same people again who will continue selling their voters down the river just like always. The citizens will do nothing to save themselves.

The claim was that "Breivik will be considered a hero in very short order." The claim is not supported by the evidence. Killing ethnic Norwegians to oppose immigration just doesn't seem to be a starter. Polls show that strong majorities of Norwegians think that immigrants make important contributions to Norwegian society. The young especially reject xenophobia.

However, you are more than welcome to explain the point.

U.S. Department of State: Norway has a relatively low level of crime in comparison to the U.S. and Western European countries with large populations. The amount of total crimes reported in Oslo for 2017 decreased from 2016 by 5.6%.

SafeAround: Olso is a safe city; although it has a poor reputation among Norwegians – compared to other Norwegian cities which have 0% crime, Oslo is a bit more dangerous; but it still is one of the safest cities in Europe.

I really don't see how she gets to first base with any of this. She says there is "no agreement" with Trump et al. So what about all the money she took?

Only "offering," to a lawyer says she knows the contract is actually binding. In other words, she's offering to rescind the contract which would free her from suits for breach. Trump's lawyers are too smart for that, this allows them to sue her at some point for actual and punitive damages for her breaches of confidentiality, as well as all the other games she is playing.

Anyway, her lawyer is a lightweight ambulance chaser. All bark, but these guys are actually always short on performance. They just want a settlement without having to do any work. I think this guy is going to find that Trump's lawyers take him apart and he is going to rue taking this case.

The Harvard President's comment about a period of “increasingly urgent questions about race and policing in the United States." Is the same sort of self-fulfilling prophecy that was used by the psychiatrists and psychologists about Trump's mental health.

Liberals Monday: (Raise questions about race in policing in an urgent tone of voice.)

Liberals Tuesday: This is worse because it comes at a time when people are raising urgent questions. We are even more urgent.
