We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
My short version: The Dems hired people to connect with Russian spies (barely arm's length) to find or invent dirt on Trump. The government then hired those go-betweens. Then the government spooks took that to spy on Trump and his associates. The government people hated Trump. Nice job, Russkies. Well-done. Mission accomplished, which was probably political chaos in the US.
The Russian spies also tried to engage the Trump people, but it didn't work for some reason. Anyway, those old KGB hands are far too cunning to let us play those games with them. Even our sick deep state seems to think it is easier to spy on Americans. Sure is.
Via Gateway, Assange tweeted, “James Comey, master of logic: FISA memo is nothing — and also the destroyer of worlds.”
Interesting to me that the feds say they took the dossier as a tip instead of as the campaign ploy that it was. Strange. Seems like the Dems were SWATting Trump. Call from a burner phone: "Hey there, FBI. I think I saw my neighbor at 22 Maple St. talking to a Russian last week."
The Russian spies also tried to engage the Trump people, but it didn't work for some reason.
As much as some people might like to claim it was incredible foresight on the part of Trump's team, I rather doubt that. It certainly sounds like there were some discussions going on, and it was probably dumb luck that kept them from going farther. There was enough public about Hillary's emails and the other various scandals and failures that have followed her political career over the decades (Whitewater, cattle futures, Rose Law firm activities, FBI records on opponents, Bengahzi, the abortive Russian Reset, Uranium One) that anything the Russians could have added was chump change.
Next item coming out is the Senate "memo". Memos will keep coming out and people will get charged as the memos come out and unmask the crooks. Comeys/Hillarys/Obamas nightmare has only begun. This will drag along just as Watergate drug along, have patience.
What is missing from this post and from virtually all the discussion on this issue is Obama. This all came from Obama. The various three letter cabinet officials were doing what Obama asked them and indeed hired them to do. Having said that it is important to also say that Obama is an empty suit, a puppet, a Manchurian candidate. Someone, some group pulled his strings. THAT is what we need to ferret out. That is the mystery. There is almost nothing in this memo that we didn't know or believe to be true before we all read the memo. This memo only confirms what we have surmised from the information and leaks here to date. But we don't know the leader of this coup/treason/rebellion/crime. We need to know, they the power behind this event and if we don't expose them and eliminate them they will do this again.
The cry from some people "You better not fire Mueller, you'll be obstructing Justice." Right On, in the sense that if this is the actual basis of the crime Mueller is investigating, Certain people who didn't expect to be exposed, will be.
On the other hand, if it really is a political witch hunt, it will just turn in to a big Never Mind.
How about this: if this sort of information continues to be revealed, and presumably gets worse, Trump won't have to fire any of those characters. Their credibility is already severely damaged, their motivation is questioned, and the 'crime' they are investigating is non-existent, or at least not yet established.
