Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Re: Clinton-Obama Emails
It all worked like a charm . . . except the part where Mrs. Clinton wins the presidency and the problem is never spoken of again. Terrific read. Many years ago, I became a delegate to the AMA. All was well until I attended the June meeting. The December meeting is scientific and is interesting. The June meeting is about electing new Board of Trustee members and officers. It is a bribing contest.
As a junior delegate, I was assigned to monitor the financial commission. It was a revelation. I saw the salaries the Trustees voted themselves. I resigned soon after. That was even before the AMA joined with the Harvard School of Public Health to develop the RBRVS, which began the destruction of private medicine. I have been uncomfortable with any citizenship for illegals, but that American Thinker article makes some good points.
Renato Mariotti (Politico article about obstruction) may be absolutely right in his interpretation of Mueller's actions regarding Trump. But MF readers should be aware that Mariotti is a liberal Democratic prosecutor running for Attorney General of Illinois. He may be just a wee bit biased.
Along with a lot of:
--"according to" the NYT, WaPo, Politico,... -- appears likely... -- One could argue... -- Mueller could argue that we can infer... -- Mueller could argue that... -- Mueller could use... Hearsay, innuendo, ...etc. No wonder the writer is a"former" federal prosecutor. Peterson: He's way smarter and exceptionally well-prepared; his opponents should be scared.
DiBlasio wants to kill the oil biz: Howzeabout the oil industry tells him they won't sell oil and by-products in or to NYC? Dems becoming (really?? just becoming??) unhinged with Trump economy: Oh, poor babies! Politico thinks (I'd say, WANTS) Mueller to think... MSM faces truth about Sweden? I doubt it. I really, really doubt it. SWEDEN doesn't yet face the truth about itself. Sam: DiBlasio wants to kill the oil biz: Howzeabout the oil industry tells him they won't sell oil and by-products in or to NYC?
I've never been a smoker but I think you've hit on the tactical mistake the tobacco industry made when the first state severely taxed sales. They should have said "You apparently don't want our business so we'll pull out of your state." That would have lasted about fifteen minutes. The oil industry should do as you suggest and promise not to sell oil products in NYC. I don't think that would even last fifteen minutes. Maybe they could continue their embargo after Mayor D(umbass) drops his suit and see how he likes it. Yes, when did we lose our will to never negotiate with terrorists?
The immediate solution is a lot easier than many think. Instead of threatening to choke the oil supply off, simply shut in the pipelines that export natural gas from the Gulf of Mexico and, even more egregiously, the Frakking regions. This could be done in a couple of hours, and the supply of natural gas to the Pure State would disappear. The power will brown out first, but cooking breakfast won't be far behind. We could even go for the Daily Double and coordinate the same on the Left Coast for the same time. Too bad it won't ever happen, but maybe it's smarter to keep the powder dry.
"Howzeabout the oil industry tells him they won't sell oil and by-products in or to NYC?"
That's not how capitalism works. If there's a market, and money to be made, then the industry will put up with truculent, posturing politicos. Obstruction of justice in a case with no underlying crime? This fishing expedition is outrageous, but it won't stop them from bringing a contrived case against Trump. They have to at this point to distract from the wrongdoing of the investigators. The MSM will love it, even if it destroys the legitimacy of federal law enforcement.
They're going to have a problem bigger than they can handle when millions of normies start siding against federal law enforcement as a default position. We already distrust the MFers. Here's a deal for you: Mueller and Co keep up the threat against the president until such time as the Dems get the deal they want on immigration reform. When the Dems get what they want--the president will be relieved of the constant illegal and corrupt pressure being applied to him under the guise of what ???(I have lost track now) Anybody wanna bet $5? It is now about political negotiation with the master negotiator. Sorry, folks I learned a long time ago that there is very little justice in the justice system and certainly not a lot of FACT/TRUTH! Yeah, I know your truth may not be my truth. . . however, facts and discernment should come up with some honorable conclusion--this BS will not.
