We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Today, Shapiro had his say. He is quite reasonable. When did common sense become inflammatory? Graduate from high school, don't have babies out of wedlock, stay married, and get a job.
OK, maybe he is a snotty know-it-all but he is a Harvard Law deplorable and they can be like that.
As for the Shapiro vid, the question and answer about climate change was right on the mark. Ben answered it perfectly, and especially when he pointed out that there are actually three solutions at the moment. The fact that we're already down to 2005 CO² standards and still heading downward due to nothing but free market solutions is very telling. Who needs government regulations when capitalism is doing the job quite well, but without harm to the overall economics of the nation?
Posting this was, like, horrible! I watched this guy (who must be a supremacist of some sort) and, like, I could feel myself getting triggered. He talks so fast that every word, like, feels like a micro aggression! That caused me to, like, reach for my coloring book and crayons but, like, knocked my warm milk onto my stuffed My Little Pony! Like, this guy just has to be, like, a racist! Then I heard him, like, answer some questions! My god! I'm, like, trembling! I don't know, like, how long I can listen to this! He just like called a fetus a potential sentient being! He, like, must be a fascist!
I say, burn him to the ground! And I don't mean in effigy -- I mean the real deal! I thought it was so great that I actually listened to most of it a second time through. As News Junkie said, the Q&A part was really great.
P.S. Loved the Valley Girl 'like' references. As if!
