This hike pic from the Isle of Harris looks unchallenging, doesn't it? The pic does not show what was needed to get to that plateau - or to get down from it. As our guide said, "Be careful with your steps. This hike has consequences." Meaning a possible violent death. I'd rate the challenge of our 9-mile hike up and around Hushinish a 2, but for fear and danger...difficult to rate 8-10" rocky and unstable sheep trails along cliff edges.
Can't be chickenshit in life. Go go hi ho. It's always worth it when you get to the top.
