Rant on Media mass hysteria:
It's the rumor mongering, the anonymous sources, the cherry picking of facts, the weasel words, the tortured parsing, the baiting of public figures, the sky is falling and the crying wolf shtick, the melodrama, the monomania of witch hunts, the blame games, the failure to emphasize exculpatory information. My personal favorite is Monday morning quarterbacking. In short the media is like the sneaky, underhanded, deceitful DA in a bad noir film. In fact, it has become theater for the chumps. Lest we forget, the media is a for profit industry. Even when there are honest brokers, they are swept aside by the tsunami of malarkey. And filler, don't forget the 24/7 media requires filler, the more inflammatory the better; it's a bottomless pit. Exasperated: Rant on Media mass hysteria
The Trump campaign fully intended to secretly accept help in the election from a foreign adversarial government, then lied about it repeatedly. Exasperated: It's the rumor mongering, the anonymous sources The reporting on the Russia story has been largely vindicated by the disclosure of Trump Jr's emails. Journalist: I Worked On This Story For A Year And Trump Jr. Just Tweeted It Out! You make claims, back them up.
More of your nonsense, since the emails show nothing of particular interest, let alone wrong-doing. Typical zachriel, always trying to distract from the real issues http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/media/341493-opinion-forget-don-jrs-email-its-hillary-clinton-who-colluded-with DrTorch: You make claims, back them up.
Claim: The Trump campaign fully intended to secretly accept help in the election from a foreign adversarial government Evidence: Email promised to provided information that would "incriminate" Trump's adversary in the U.S. election, as "part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump." Response by Trump Jr: "If it's what you say, I love it". That's direct evidence that someone closely connected to the Trump campaign fully intended to accept help in the election from a foreign adversarial power, a kleptocracy run by an autocrat implicated in the murder of dissidents, whistle-blowers, and journalists, one which has engaged in a pattern of cyber-warfare against other nations. Instead of meeting with the Russians, Trump Jr. should have reported the contact to the FBI. Notably, the "nothingburger" has resulted in the appointment of an independent counsel.

Actually that is false. It was Comey's lies and illegal leaking that lead to the appointment of an independent counsel. What we are seeing is Democrat dirty tricks intended to subcvert the will of the people and cause disruption in government. Drain the swamp.

IdahoBob: Actually that is false. Rosenstein charged the Independent Counsel with investigating “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump’’ as well as “any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation’’ This does not imply that crimes have been committed, but it certainly indicates more than 'nothing'. IdahoBob: It was Comey's lies What lies are those? IdahoBob: What we are seeing is Democrat dirty tricks intended to subcvert the will of the people and cause disruption in government. It is reasonable to be somewhat skeptical about such reports, however, it would be just as irrational to ignore such reports altogether. It's apparent there are people providing information to reporters, and much of the information has been borne out, including that there had been multiple contacts between the Trump campaign and people associated with the Russian government. When combined with Russian cyber-attacks on multiple countries, it represents a unique threat to the stability of democratic systems worldwide.

The main point of contention has been reported contact with people associated with the Russian government, something repeatedly denied by the Trump Administration. Now we know of many such contacts, including one where Trump Jr was told that the Russian government was siding with his father in the election, a kleptocracy, led by an autocrat, implicated in the murder and imprisonment of journalists, whistle-blowers, and dissidents, as well as coordinated cyber-warfare meant to undermine democratic nations in Europe and beyond.
Other than that, every thing is peachy keen.

What part is unsubstantiated? That Russia is a kleptocracy? That Russia is led by an autocrat? That said autocrat is implicated in murder and imprisonment of his opponents? That Russia has engaged in cyber-warfare meant to undermine democratic governments? Or is it that the Trump Administration has repeatedly denied contacts with people associated with the Russian government? Or that Trump Jr. was told in advance that the meeting was part of a Russian government effort to help Trump's election campaign?

Hmm. The email stated that there would be information which “would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father,” and “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump;" to which Trump Jr. replied, “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.” So, Trump Jr. knew this was part of the Russian government's support for Mr. Trump, and that he approved. Hours later, Trump teased that there would be dirt on Clinton forthcoming.

No political campaign should ever accept foreign help in a campaign! That would be COLLUSION!
Well, http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/ukraine-sabotage-trump-backfire-233446. Some guy offered to setup a meeting with a Russian official who supposedly had dirt on Clinton. Don Jr. took the meeting. He did not offer anything in return for the meeting or information. In fact, there was no information, she was probably not a Russian official or connected in any way with the Russian government. That's your conspiracy? mudbug: Well, http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/ukraine-sabotage-trump-backfire-233446.
You didn't even read past the headline, did you? If you did, you would notice that there probably wasn't a coordinated Ukrainian effort, much less the use of cyber-warfare against the U.S. mudbug: Some guy offered to setup a meeting with a Russian official who supposedly had dirt on Clinton. Don Jr. took the meeting. He did not offer anything in return for the meeting or information. Actually, they discussed sanctions as well as dirt on Clinton. Of course, they were completely disconnected conversations. And that's by Trump Jr's version of events, which we know are, well, less than forthcoming. Seriously, they should have dropped a dime, but as every scammer knows, greedy people are the easiest to swindle. Actually I did. Maybe you missed this:
QUOTE: Yet Politico’s investigation found evidence of Ukrainian government involvement in the race that appears to strain diplomatic protocol dictating that governments refrain from engaging in one another’s elections. On a separate point, I guess Obama's interfering in Israel's election and Ted Kennedy's request of the Soviet leadership to intervene in Reagan's re-election escaped Politico's notice in this article, but I digress. I guess releasing the entire email thread and offering to testify under oath is not being "forthcoming." I'd say he's a lot more forthcoming than Hillary or Podesta.

If you would view those reports with some modicum of skepticism, you would realize they are not the same as the current situation. The former was a repurposing of infrastructure that had a legitimate purpose. The Obama Administration investigated the problem, and the State Department instituted new policies to prevent a repeat. The latter incident is not substantiated, and it is very unlikely to have happened. mudbug: I guess releasing the entire email thread The emails were only released because the New York Times was going to publish them. That's right. Politico reports there were activities which "strain diplomatic protocol", not a coordinated national effort using cyber-warfare to undermine a democratic election. Indeed, Ukraine is a victim of Russia's cyber-warfare, along with Russian military incursions.

Oh dear, you poor thing, my rant is general and isn't about Trump. And yes, I confess to not having read the link.
And just to follow your tedious lead in boring everyone to tears, I repeat the 2016 election wasn't about Trump; it never was about Trump. I can count on this going right over your head; the people in the Middle were just tired of being kr@pped on. That is why they just don't believe the media. Exasperated: the people in the Middle were just tired of being kr@pped on.
Keeping in mind that Clinton won the popular vote, there certainly were a lot of people who felt "kr@pped on", so they shot themselves in the "kr@pper". I remain unperturbed. Hillary went into November with the advantage of experience, the bully media in her pocket, the polls, the organization, and obviously resources/funding from the Globalists and the Financialists. In hindsight, that Trump prevailed is inexplicable.

How Fake News Works
Why doesn't The Washington Post fix this ludicrously ignorant headline? "Texas teen was electrocuted by her cellphone while taking a bath, her family says." The girl wasn't electrocuted by her cellphone, but by her cellphone charger, which was plugged in and found submerged in the bathtub where she died. The story has been getting clicks around the web since at least yesterday, and this WaPo piece went up this morning. Reading the article, it's clear how the death occurred, so the headline is lame click-bait. (Don't click on it!) A cheap defense of the headline is that it doesn't purport to be factual about the actual cause of death but about what the "family says." And, indeed, why write a whole story on the details here? The poor girl did something very foolish and should have known better, and her family, suddenly called upon to enact their suffering on the world stage, continue to display their low level of understanding of electricity: In re WaPo and it's anti-Trump crusade: Way I heard it, Trump Jr. went for the MOABS scam (Mother of All Bait-and-Switches) but was just smart enough to take along a couple of witnesses. When will we hear the whole story?
As it happens Donald Trump Jr. is a ideological conservative and an up and coming force in Republican circles. What this is really about is the Democrats destroying Trump Jr. with dirty tricks. This is classic Clinton and Obama dirty politics of personal destruction.
It may well be that this was a bait and switch effort by Democrats or it could simply be a Russian attorney using a lie to get a chance to talk about her real issue. Either way Trump Jr did nothing wrong and most certainly nothing illegal. According to the facts already known this attorney is NOT the Russian government and not a government employee but rather simply an attorney. Some would have you believe that you cannot even listen to what a foreigner says (Zach) without having committed a crime. What they really mean is that this Russian attorney can work hand and glove with the DNC and the MSM will hush it up but if a Republican sits in the same room with her than someone needs to go to jail. I hope this investigation uncovers the relationship this attorney had with the DNC and Hillary while they are digging for dirt on Trump Jr. OneGuy: Some would have you believe that you cannot even listen to what a foreigner says (Zach) without having committed a crime.
Trump Jr. didn't just listen. He was told the contact was "part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump", and he "loved" it. That shows his intent to collude with Russian efforts to interfere in the U.S. election. Would you like some fries to go with that nothingburger, kidz?

Claritas: Trump Jr. went for the MOABS scam (Mother of All Bait-and-Switches)
Trump Jr. "loved" the idea of colluding with a foreign power intent on undermining democracy in Europe and the U.S., one well-known for the use of cyber-warfare. “It’s a hell of a defense to say your collusion might be incompetent." — Charles Krauthammer Trump Has 6 Options to Neutralize North Korea—but None Are Good
Fat Boy stays in power because he's the successful leader of a small coalition that includes at least senior leaders of the armed forces (maybe a dozen? all of whom know they can be replaced and murdered if they don't stay loyal to Kim who in turn relies on them to remain dictator) and Chinese foreign policy makers. If he doesn't retain the loyalty of both groups, he's done. the army gets a huge proportion of NK's wealth, the Chinese get a useful ally. the Kim family is not insane, they know this, they've been in this role since the 1950s. Don't conflate ownership of ICBMs with the willingness to use it. Kim can bluster but he's subject to the same rules of the cold war as the Russians vs Americans, Iran vs Israel, Pakistan vs India, and any other adversaries. Unless you can neutralize retaliation in kind, you don't use nukes. Kim orders a nuke attack against Guam/Hawaii/Alaska and regardless of whether its shot down or lands, US retaliation destroys NK at whatever the cost to the peninsula. The important losers: NK armed forces, China. Fat Boy knows that his coalition supporters won't actually allow a launch. The US knows this too. Kim rattles the nuclear saber and everyone's happy: the NK armed forces, China, the DoD, defense contractors, politicians get to be statesman (libtards demand peace at all costs, conservatives vote bigger defense budgets). The difference is Kim Jong Un is crazy, and there is no one who can/will confront him. He doesn't know where the line is between bluster and nuclear war. He's come close to hitting (ironically) Russia with his little missile launches, and could have hit Japan this last time around.
With his penchant for killing off his family members, and anyone else he suspects has disrespected him in the slightest way, he is a dead ringer for the worst Joseon dynasty kings. They were insane, too. Also, the traditional Korean consciousness, of which Kim seems to possess the worst traits, doesn't necessarily take logic about retaliation into account, if they feel they have been somehow slighted. I generally watch the 9 p.m. news from Seoul before I go to bed. Kim is further along on his nuclear missile project than the American public is being told, and they already have a prototype ICBM nuclear armed missile. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12Cpf7DebII&t=19m44s (SBS news last night) starting at about 19:44 in. He can already hit the west coast, despite the denials of our government. He is now trying to figure out how to either get his missile power up, or his payload weight down, so he can hit more of the U.S. At that point we will be seeing real nuclear blackmail. The best hope we have is he can't aim his missiles over such a great distance. But whether he hits the Bay Area or Barstow, he consequences are going to be terrible. I've just got to disagree.
The most batshit dictator plays by external rules of how power is gained and kept. He's there because there's a small faction of supporters -- family, army, China masters -- who keep him there. He can't do anything on his own. Killing supporters and family members is a tried and true way for all small coalition dictators use for balancing buying support and keeping the supporters guessing about their own survival. Blackmail works only if you believe the other side will be allowed to pull the trigger. If just being able to hit US soil were the criteria for a legitimate atomic threat, then the cold war would have been won or lost back in the late '40s. I'd bet the farm that China has told Kim to go so far and no more, otherwise, the army will get the green light to replace him with another family member. An attack on the west coast ends the existence of Korea, turns the peninsula and part of China radioactive and brings the world close to all out atomic war. Everyone who counts and a lot who don't count loses. China is not going to allow this, the US cannot do any less otherwise this will happen again and again. China will blink first. Do you honestly think the US will back down if NK makes a realistic threat against Hawaii? US policy since Clinton has been to expect to rideout a nuclear attack and then retaliate in kind. There is no "what do we do if Kim threatens". Wine dating from the American Revolution era discovered at historic New Jersey house
http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/wine-dating-american-revolution-discovered-historic-jersey-house/story?id=48563691 I first started coming to MF because I saw evil in WA state that no one wanted to acknowledge. That evil is now very visible and the most recent examples are to be seen at Evergreen University and now most clearly at University of Washington Tacoma campus. The Tacoma campus is very close to Evergreen College and perhaps the nearest. The area around Tacoma is has a very large African/American community. But, lest you forget here is one of [url=http://
http://] founding father/Black Panther [/url] Never forget how addicted the white leadership in WA state is to "creating change", and how fearful they are of the African American community. I believe it is that addiction and that fear that creates the antithesis (African/American student failure) to what they have stated as their "goal" It must be a huge conundrum to those with neither personal courage or ethics. just saying What's fun is seeing that Seattle is going to tax Seattle's wealthy at a 2 1/2 % income tax rate that evidently is needed to cover the cost of political correctness.
What is REALLY fun is taking a step back and looking at their dependence upon "good relations" with China !! You know--Port of Seattle, Port of Tacoma. Coal shipment, airplanes, etc.,etc. Once the first agreement with China was in place it was clear that they the leaders of Seattle were tightening up on things like free speech, diverse educational curriculums, along with down playing the glories of America, etc. The tune had been set by the Chinese, the words to the song were drafted by the Seattle leadership. It is intended to put the American people in lock step with the Chinese people in terms of obedience to government, etc. China clearly did not want a "free people" and they cannot tolerate our example of democracy. The Seattle unions, leaders etc., dutifully katow and collect their checks.
I rather suspect Trump is going to clamp way down on China imports in order to put trade pressure on the N Korea/China trade which will cause retaliatory action by China which means the Seattle crew is in deep trouble. Boeing may as well develop their manufacturing in the south as I doubt Trump will let them go to China and China will want to cut trade with Boeing/USA. It is also likely to raise havoc on Long Beach shipping. I just can't sympathize with all the socialists involved.
