Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

QUOTE: Boys Punching Girls: Feminism's Big Win ... A girl who wants equality with men showed up at a Trump rally wearing weighted gloves, tried to punch a guy in the throat, and got laid out with one punch. Fake news. Video from the event shows that he rushed her and punched her without provocation. Right on cue. The internet's #1 purveyor of paid trolling here to tell us that 1+1 does not = 2.
"Who are you going to believe - me, or your lying eyes?"
Poor little kitten went there to stir up some trouble. Figured she was immune, because 'They won't hit a gurrrrl!" Well, buttercup, you learned a hard lesson. It's a lot of fun to be the big bad activist going around beating on people who won't hit you back - but they've gotten tired of being beaten on and now they're hitting back. JLawson: "Who are you going to believe - me, or your lying eyes?"
The video clearly shows that the man rushed the girl and punched her without provocation. There are no good guys in this, but to say with out provocation? Give me a break. There is someone down on the ground, being beaten and kicked, she is clearly going in for a kick, when she gets whacked. Read her posts. She was headed down there for a fight. She wanted to collect nazi scalps. Hundreds of them. There's a picture of her with a bottle; small end in her hand. Like she is going to use it as a club.

B Hammer: There is someone down on the ground, being beaten and kicked, she is clearly going in for a kick
There's no indication that she kicked or tried to kick anyone. It looks like she was cornered in the melee and looking for a way out. What is clear from the video is that the man charged at her. B Hammer: There's a picture of her with a bottle; small end in her hand. She was not holding a bottle when she was hit.

Even if true, it doesn't justify the assault. She was not throwing bottles or explosives when the man rushed at her and punched her. That would be retribution, not self-defense.

You're handwaving Z. Or as someone on another blogs has told you, you're moving the goalposts.
You stated that "She was not holding a bottle when she was hit." The link I provided clearly shows that. You stated that "she was cornered in the melee" The link shows clearly that she was participating in the melee.

Yep. They do that quite a lot along with repeating their distortions when they've been proven wrong.

Larger issue: the feminist left screams "patriarchy" any time they get different treatment under the law and "discrimination" any time they do. As in women need to be fully integrated into all aspects of campus life and have to be provided gender-restricted safe spaces so that they can be protected from masculinity.
Boys punching girls: I have a hard time rooting for any white supremacist. But anyone who upholds Moldylocks as some innocent girl who was picked on by a vicious skinhead is just tilting at windmills. She went to that protest to hurt or maim her victims. She took a punch at Nathan and then he decked her. I was raised as a gentleman and told not to punch a woman unless it was to defend myself. So she was clearly in the wrong no matter how you slice it.
If a hate crime happened here it was hers in attacking him, not the other way around. I have had this conversation with coworkers, too. Hollywood has been depicting women as more macho than men would embolden some people to think this is possible in the real world. And while a few women are more macho than a few men, it is a dangerous fallacy to perpetuate. Just ask Moldylocks. Dangerous Dean: Boys punching girls
Under the law, sex or gender do not matter. The man rushed the woman and punched her without provocation. You obviously chose not to see the other videos showing Moldilocks and her friends throwing bottles and explosives.

Even if true, it doesn't justify the assault. She was not throwing bottles or explosives when the man rushed at her and punched her. That would be retribution, not self-defense. A second or two earlier, she was throwing bottles and she and her friends had just assaulted Trump supporters. She charged the guy who hit her. All edited out of your hard drive, huh?

QUOTE: Berkeley: TODAY’S UNIVERSITY EPIC FAIL College Republicans have an equal right with any other group to invite people to speak on campus, even if they spew hateful rhetoric. Ann Coulter has every right to spew hateful rhetoric. "We just want Jews to be perfected, as they say," — arguing that it would be better if everyone was a Christian "If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen." "I have never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much," — on 9/11 widows who have been critical of the Bush administration "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity." "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." "God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'" QUOTE: Confirmed: John Brennan Colluded With Foreign Spies to Defeat Trump That U.S. foreign allies in their surveillance of Russian agents found a pattern of contact with people associated with the Trump campaign is hardly evidence that Brennan "collude with foreign powers to tip the election", especially considering most of this information only came to light after the election. If there was a suspicious pattern of contacts between Trump associates and Russian agents, then — duh — it's an issue for the intelligence communities. Zach, How do you do it, I mean always being on the right side of history, and every argument? I'll bet the mantle of perfection weighs heavy at times
Dale: I mean always being on the right side of history, and every argument?
We're hardly always right, and we are more than willing to reconsider our positions. For instance, when asked review the 3 seconds preceding the punch at the Berkeley rally. The video did not show what it was purported to show, that she was attempting to kick someone already on the ground, or that she had a bottle in her hand. ----------------------------------------------------------- Zach--Since your visual recognition circuitry evidently has severe shortcircuits, here is a picture of Moldilocks when she was in the altercation, taken by Reuters. Check out the bottle held in her right hand held as a weapon as she is fighting: https://i2.wp.com/theralphretort.com/wp-content/uploads/download-1-6.jpg As for the underlying claim, are you saying allied intelligence agencies should ignore a foreign adversary attempting to infiltrate a major political party in the U.S. or other ally, or to undermine the electoral process?
You mean like when the Obama administration funneled money to a group in Israel actively campaigning against Netanyahu's party?
To think that countries don't try to actively influence the democratic process in other, even allied, countries is naiveté bordering on simple ignorance. Another guy named Dan: You mean like when the Obama administration funneled money to a group in Israel actively campaigning against Netanyahu's party?
No. It should not be ignored, nor was the incident ignored. While the money was originally spent for legal purposes, the resulting infrastructure was repurposed. New controls were put in place to prevent a recurrence. O'Reilly should have retired years ago. These tv types are addicted to staying relevant. They cling to their desks with a death grip.
I can't stand him, but I hate to see him forced out under a fake veil of virtue. Nothing he is accused of is outside of modern journalistic standards. His show was terrible and only slightly better than his radio show was. Please, please don't go back to radio. So they're assuming transgender tendencies wherever a girl has a boyish interest or vice versa. As a brony, I dislike the implications.
