Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Happy Warrior

Andrew Breitbart died 5 years ago, yesterday. It doesn't seem that long ago. Here he is a CPAC five years ago, shortly before his death. (h/t, Weasel)

We owe him a debt of gratitude. He inherently knew that engagement could no longer be successful by unilaterally using the "Queen's Rules". This got him in trouble with the establishment on both sides. As such, he fought often alone. A true trailblazer and leader.

I think Andrew would be pleased with the outcome of what he gave us, the ability to stand up to the Left and spit in their eyes and to hit back twice as hard.

I don't think there's any question. He was anti-progressive first. As he said in the video, he didn't care who ran on our side. The battle was against the progressives.

I miss him. He was one of the most fearless people I'd ever seen.

At the risk of crossing some line or something I would add that his death seemed suspicious and unlikely. If I remember correctly he had stated just before his death he had some world changing news he was going to break in a couple of days. He certainly had a lot of very high placed enemies.
