Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Milo is dating a black dude. He's a pretty lousy white supremacist, if you ask me. They're gonna probably have to pull his card.
When Apatow legitimizes violence for the Left, he also legitimizes it for the Right. Turchin's prophecy of a violent 2020's is looking better all the time. Hopefully, it can be restricted to street fighting among the extremist groups, but in Weimar Germany, that led to Hitler and Naziism.
If you live in a city, get out now. An hour's commute is worth the safety of your home. And get a semi-auto rifle. any man who wears a pre-tied bowtie cannot be taken seriously. the guy's a hollywood director, all he's doing is branding, for the sake of his fans. he's no more likely to burn down anything than anyone here is likely to start shooting protesters.
So, it's Milo, and not all those rioters who is the "problem"?
I don't see much of a problem. If they burn down Berkeley, that's fine, its not my alma mater. On the other hand, I'm glad that the libtard democraps are painting the face of Trump opposition this way. this will be a PR disaster in '18 if it keeps up, as I hope it does.
Yes, these people are delusional. Justifying violence is outrageous and a dead-end strategy. Did they learn nothing from Baltimore?
Speaking as a Gen-X aged lefty, back in the 80's and early 90's when I was doing a lot of protesting, we used to pride ourselves on having the moral high ground by staying peaceful! In fact if a group of protesters started getting too agitated and rowdy other protesters would calm them down and keep things in check. The university police should have arrested everyone who threw a stone there last night, but instead only 1 person got arrested. Apparently about 150 people took part in the violence. Shameful. They call themselves 'Antifa'. They used to call themselves anarchist. But what they are is of course is brownshirts good old fascist brownshirts. The irony is thick but somehow the MSM and the antifa/anarchist/brownshirts don't see it.
What bothered me the most in this riot and most of the riots the left create is that the police choose to allow assault and property damage to take place without interfering. What is their responsibility in a riot? Should the non-rioting people who are trying to attend these meetings arm themselves and shoot when assaulted? If they did who would the police arrest? It seems odd and irresponsible to allow 10, 20, 30, 100 anarchists with masks and clubs to run through the crowd of attendees and wreak havoc while law enforcement stands by and watches. If the law refuses to maintain order then the honest people must arm themselves. "But what they are is of course is brownshirts good old fascist brownshirts."
The only difference between the Nazi brownshirts and the Communist redshirts was the color of their shirts. They were all militant socialist hoodlums. It's like the old white gowned KKK were the militants for the democrats and todays KKK has switched to black uniforms. The News Junkie: A reference to his gay romps?
No. It's a reference to Yiannopoulos’s targeted racial and misogynistic abuse. mudbug: Racial abuse?
Yiannopoulos is a provocateur who uses code to avoid accountability. Nonetheless, his actions have encouraged followers to direct racist and misogynistic attacks against those he has named. For instance, he's been permanently banned by Twitter for creating abusive twitter storms. if he's a provocateur, what do you call your friends with molotov cocktails?
the amazing thing is that real liberals went to the wall to protect this kind of speech, now you asshats do your best to shut it down. you people are just being played. you can't figure that out you don't deserve to be elected to anything, ever again. Thought Kriminal No. 392342-A: if he's a provocateur, what do you call your friends with molotov cocktails?
If you are referring to the recent violence in Berkeley, they are not our friends. We would refer to them as rioters.

Fascinating, it's not his actual words we're to object to, because he cleverly avoids any for which he could be cogently criticized. Instead we're to object to his private thoughts, on the theory that we can divine them by assigning our own interpretation on words we choose to believe are meant as "code." This permits us to insist that his message is the exact opposite of his words, leaving him with only the option of silence.
Nice world it's going to be if this is the new standard for shutting down speech. Texan99: Fascinating, it's not his actual words we're to object to, because he cleverly avoids any for which he could be cogently criticized.
In fact, he is accountable for his words, which have the predictable effect of calling down his flying monkeys of racists and misogynists to beat down individuals. Furthermore, he edits an on-line magazine that publishes misogynistic and racist commentary. As for cogent criticism, do we really need to explain why propagating a fake tweet in the name of someone else is not appropriate? "uncleTom fag @nero needs to get his racist ss out my mentions. Shit liek dis make me think that we need to gas dese goddamn faggots to death" He's crying all the way to the bank, because some people really like to watch it burn.

'racial and misogynistic abuse' in this context means he favors equality and is very much opposed to their effort to carve out special treatment. But what the left really hates about Milo is that he uses their tactics. Not the violence but the rhetoric. He pulls no punches and is in their face pointing out their own racism and misogyny/misandry. The fear is that Milo speaks truth to power and the left cannot abide the truth so they call out their thugs. This is a classic tactic of the left. They used it in Russia to stifle any opposition, they used it in Panama, we even got to see it on TV. The are using it today in Venezuela and other banana republics. This is what the Marxist/Leninist left does when you call them out in public. I fully expect Milo to be the victim of a horrible 'accident' one day.
