Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

funny that anyone would predict a 352-186 margin at this point in the race. Lots of models had it this much of a blowout 2 months ago. Real Clear Politics has it 272-266 today. Florida, Ohio, Colorado and Michigan (!!!) all break for Trump today and he wins 291 EC delegates.
The same LA Times that was one of the only outliers to consistently show Trump leading in their poll, suddenly sees a change of course... it's like watching paramecium mutate in stagnant water...
We did not have to pay off the LA Times. Drudge reported only Times/USC poll results on voters, not electoral votes.
You deluded yourselves. at least the collards aren't being sold as "organic" or "gluten free"
why is it fashionable and trendy when they do it, and redneck and deplorable when we do it? That's sad about the library. I used to love hanging out in the children's section while my Mom ran errands! That was back in the 70's though before all the outreach and reading programs that libraries have today.
My guess is that the rule has to do with entitled non-parents dropping off their little feral monsters and leaving their brats behind to destroy the library experience for the rest of the kids. That, and there is some legitimate concern that porno-watching creeps like to hang out there, too.
I stopped going to the library after a librarian warned me that she wasn't concerned that my kids would misbehave, she was concerned about other patrons. Of course, the answer to this problem should not be "arrest the parents," it should be "arrest the perverts." Such is the world we live in. For clarity, I was not leaving my kids at the library, either - just walking a couple of stacks down where I could hear them, but didn't have a line of sight, and it was considerably less than five minutes.
Yeah, libraries were more quiet and bookish places back when all they had were books and microfiche.
Our local branch here in Atlanta has so many homeless guys hanging out and using the computers that it feels kind of like a bus station. :-( Agree - get rid of the pervs so the children can have some freedom. But the moment the library tries to do that, you can bet the ACLU or near offer will jump into action. Arrest the parents, and you'll hear crickets.
Re: Inside Germany's No-Go Zones: Part I - North Rhine-Westphalia
This is bogus. I have it on good authority. On this very blog, Zachriel told me there were no No-Go Zones in Europe! mudbug: On this very blog, Zachriel told me there were no No-Go Zones in Europe!
We did? You might want to provide a link to that broad claim. It was several, maybe many, months ago. IIRC, it was with regard to some news in Sweden or France. I gave it the old college try but couldn't find those posts.
My memory may be faulty - I could have been referring to no-go zones in France or Sweden rather than Europe as a whole. You are correct. Zack did make that grossly inaccurate statement. He was severely admonished by The Party and enjoined to read his daily talking points more carefully, and, of course, not to think on his own.
mudbug: It was several, maybe many, months ago. IIRC, it was with regard to some news in Sweden or France.
Not a problem. We very well might have objected to specific claims about specific places, but (as you should know by now) we generally refrain from overly broad statements, especially a negative claim that would be very difficult to support. For instance, we wouldn't claim that Clinton never broke the law. Maybe she stole a library book when she was a kid. Who knows? However, we might very well object to a specific claim that Clinton is a criminal as only supported by weak or distorted information, an example of confirmation bias, or a case of truthiness. Zachriels: Clinton is a criminal
Yes, we agree, but we are ordered not to admit this in any form, as opposition thoughtkriminals may adopt our own tactic of taking quotes and arguments out of context. We are to say, "Clinton is not a convicted felon and will never serve time as a traitor."

Clinton is a criminal. It is illegal to allow access to classified information by those who do not have clearance. She was required to hand over all documents related to her tenure as Secretary of State WHEN SHE LEFT, but did not. That's just for starters.

mudbud: Clinton is a criminal.
You can't prove that. You'll never prove that she covered up crimes by deleting billions of emails before she turned her servers over to the FBI, can't prove she stole money from her Foundation, can't prove she sold atomic secrets to the Russians and can't prove she spat on the flag. And if you do, our glorious President will pardon her. President-Elect Clinton is not a convicted felon and will never serve time as a traitor.

Unless Trump wins the election. And Bill and Obama will probably be in prison cells as well.

It was just an example. Nevertheless, the a team of career FBI investigators thoroughly investigated the issue and recommended against filing charges.

Criminal: noun, One that has committed or been legally convicted of a crime.
Traitor: noun, a person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc. Looks like she is indeed both a criminal and a traitor.

QUOTE: The Four Groups That Will Decide the Presidential Race Bird Dog: Demographics. Maybe we are all stereotypes. Donald Trump: #JebBush has to like the Mexican Illegals because of his wife. No-go zones:
This could be fixed overnight, literally. In each zone a force of police and military armed and with orders to respond to violence with force enters 3:00 am and handcuffs everyone. Every person is then checked for legal status and if in country illegally they are taken to a lockup and held until they can be deported. If legally in the country but suspected of committing a crime they are booked into the legal system and held for trial. Do it in every neighborhood where they live on the same night and surround each community so no one can escape the dragnet. Simple! Will they do it? Of course not. They would rather risk more and more crimes and murders of their citizens than do the job they were elected for. GoneWithTheWind: If legally in the country but suspected of committing a crime they are booked into the legal system and held for trial.
Turns out that Germany has a modern legal system: "Every person shall have the right to life and physical integrity. Freedom of the person shall be inviolable. These rights may be interfered with only pursuant to a law." In other words, you have to have evidence of a crime to hold someone. Furthermore, by arresting innocent people you hurt the cause of law and order. People start running from the police rather than helping them. The U.S. has had similar problems with its own minorities. I Absolutely support due process. Round them all up and deport the illegals charge the criminals and release any innocent civilians unlucky enough to be trapped in a no-go zone.
It might require that the government declare an emergency to do what must be done. So be it. The alternative is a slow death and a total stab in the back to all legal citizens. Germany has to grow a pair as does every other country facing this invasion. It will absolutely get worse for Germany and all Western countries. Far worse. I Absolutely support due process. Round them all up and ... release any innocent civilians
And Germany absolutely supports that it is a post-fascist society, Windy. No more Stasi. Sorry. Au contraire, mon frère. The West is at a crossroads. If they take your advice they will be destroyed by the barbarians. Time is running out, this is no time to prevaricate. Let's be clear, civilization is on the line. The Barbarians want to take us back to the 7th century. They only understand one thing. They can not be converted and they cannot be assimilated, they must be repelled and forced back into their caves and stone huts or destroyed. This will only become more difficult with time. We need to fight them where they live because if we don't in a few years we will have to fight them where we live. They grow stronger and greater in numbers as we grow weaker and less committed. It may already be too late to stop the coming invasion short of a world war. We must act soon or die.

Yeah, it's the heretics Jews immigrants. Better if Germany just rounds them up — to save the Fatherland. That might be the best post you have ever made.
But you are simply wrong to compare this event with the holocaust. Here is why: Germany needs to send these immigrants home. Did you get that? Home! Not the gas chambers or to hell but to their home. Additionally if any of them have committed crimes they should be charged with those crimes. Not the holocaust.

For those times when hugging a tree is not enough.
What the hell, I thought I had heard it all. So tell me this, if the tree or said dirt or waterfall doesn't give its' permission for this act is that eco-rape. How much more perversion do we have to take. Honestly what kind of sickness has taken over. ECO SEX
Does ecosex help science to understand the origin of AIDS in the human species? Rethinking how we fly. Looks like someone has studied the USSR's RRBAs (Really, Really Big Airplanes) from the 1930s.
ECO SEX
QUOTE: On the other are “people who roll around in the dirt having an orgasm covered in potting soil,” she said. “There are people who fuck trees, or masturbate under a waterfall.” We liberals do not consider sex with animals, plants or even viruses and inanimate objects as "deviant", which is a dominant sex norm imposed by the cisheteropatriarchy. It is true that, in fact, that many if not most liberal males' first and only sexual experiences have been with inanimate objects and we celebrate our close emotional ties with gaiea-hankies, gaiea-socks and gaiea-milf porn. QUOTE: Campaign Manager Says ‘Clinton Had Little Consideration For Ethics’ Wow! That is news. Most people thinks she has zero consideration for ethics. I'm glad I skipped all the usual arguments and went striaght to your comment, Ken. You win the thread.
