Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Sunday, November 6. 2016Is it possible? Is it possible that Mrs. Bill Clinton just isn't too bright? Her reckless greed is no secret, her poor judgment is widely acknowledged, but what about ordinary brains? If you recall, she could not pass the DC bar exam. Today's example: She could not operate her fax, so required her maid to copy out secret memos for her to read. Just unbelievable. Smartest woman in the world? Doesn't say much for women. Related, The Stupidity of Hillary. He wonders "When has Hillary ever done anything we might reasonably consider smart?"

She seems to work hard, or used to before her brain got scrambled. Now she needs an earpiece to speak in public. As long as nobody asks her to think or make decisions, and nothing triggers her weird neurotic compulsions (stealing and hiding documents, lying, greed), she could do well at a lot of lower-level administrative jobs.
Her sincere admirers see a lot of themselves in her, I think. Is it possible that Mrs. Bill Clinton just isn't too bright? Her reckless greed is no secret, her poor judgment is widely acknowledged, but what about ordinary brains? If you recall, she could not pass the DC bar exam.
Here’s What Hillary Clinton Did In Her Senior Year Of High School: QUOTE: Rodham was a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Merit Finalist? That's bright in my book. I don't know any stupid Merit Finalists, though I did know some who let their arrogance occasionally override their thinking. Humility is generally not an attribute of Merit Finalists- nor of Mrs. Bill Clinton. My conclusion is that Mrs. Bill Clinton is bright enough, but that in the case of the e-mails etc, her sense of entitlement overrode her ability to think straight. By her own admission, she hasn't driven a car since 1996, which definitely puts her into the entitled class. She has been a member of the entitled class for decades- well before she stopped doing her own driving. It could be that her mental ability has been impaired in recent years by a stroke or by strokes. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, thru lack of use,
Merit Finalist is something. She was valedictorian at Wellesley as well. However if you read her valedictory, it was cliche-ridden even for its era. So some cylinders are clearly firing, others aren't.
I'm sorry but I do think we really need to examine the source of her speech.... with a cast-iron dildo and a sledge hammer.
But that's just me in a forgiving frame of mind. Anyone who watched the presidential debates can see that Clinton is intelligent and steady.
Steady. Yes, that's why she throws lamps.
And watching a debate is a true test of character, isn't it? Mano a mano, with both participants being asked equally difficult questions, sprung on them completely without warning, in front of carefully balanced audiences. Especially when she knows the questions in advance and has scripted replies in front of her. Her "press conferences" are little more than fans asking their favorite rock star questions.
As far as "intelligence" goes Satan is a very intelligent being. I'm guessing you wouldn't mind having Satan as your president. Seeing as he isn't running I guess you will enthusiastically vote for his servant Hillary. Nahanni: As far as "intelligence" goes Satan is a very intelligent being. I'm guessing you wouldn't mind having Satan as your president.
Heh. Whether Clinton is Satan or not wasn't the question raised. Simply put, allowing someone without a security clearance access to Comfidential, let alone, the Top Secret daily P4esidential brief, is a crime, punishable by jail and hefty fines. I won't mention here using a government job for personnal benefit.
On Tuesday Hillary will be your next president. So how is she stupid?
She isn't. She just took advantage of a populace that, over the last century, freely handed over to the government their rights, their freedoms and their responsibilities. They chose to believe that morality was just an old fashioned notion of the past. So she showed up, promised them the moon and the stars and assured them that "others" would pay for it - and they bought it.
I have always said that America could survive an Obama or Clinton but can not survive a population who thinks they are fit for public office. The vast majority of Americans deserve this disaster. It just pains me to watch those who don't suffer from the laziness and stupidity of those who do. You are spot on, my lady. I was telling a friend the other day that it would be worth watching how much more of a mess Hillary could make for her enablers, if I didn't have to live here in the mess she would create. We don't deserve it.
She already has bungled the 3AM phone call which came in the afternoon. But I expect the fall back position, is deception, deflection, obscurantism and cherry picking, word games, name calling, same ole, same ole.
Maybe AVI would expand on the definition of intelligence.
Just speaking for myself, it seems that general intelligence is a cluster of skills, abilities and behaviors. It is more than being a good test taker, cramming and reciting memorized facts, and parroting the ideas of others, stale or otherwise. Credentialism just doesn't cut it for me. There are real world accomplishments requiring some smarts, including street smarts, not to mention energy and focus. I will take a "doer" over a GLIB wonk any day. Of course, wonks can succeed, if they have real world experience and their knowledge isn't too specialized. However, consider that public sector experience is especially cocooned and unaccountable. This resume does not necessarily translate into leadership, vision, asking the right questions, the ability to assess and mitigate risk, the ability to weigh trade offs, the ability to persuade or explain complex issues to non specialists, problem solving, the quick & innovative outside the box thinking, administrative or executive ability or the will to take a concept to reality ............. Keep in mind that the President has resources and staff to fill in the blanks. How necessary is it to know all the cities in Pakistan...etc? Nor, does this resume speak to the ability to resist confirmation bias.
In addition, it does not incorporate a sense of justice or fair play when it comes to considering the people who are above board and who play by the rules. Hillary reminds me of bad bosses I've had in the past. They show above normal intelligence in some areas, have good recall of their talking points, but lack flexibility and are blinding stupid in other areas.
Wait, sneaky and deceptive are markers for intelligence, aren't they?
