Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Ok, ok, ok. You finally win! However, I personally believe that this nomination of Dylan for the big prize is just one more example of the Swedish cry for positive recognition! In a country where the government runs every aspect of your life, awarding the Nobel is the one chance a few of the elite get to say to the world "uh huh, we do to have freedom-we can be unique" Yeah sure ya'betcha! Sorry MF--maybe it should be Patti Smith the next time!

Wasn't that Willie Nelson behind Dylan in the Champaign video? I assumed that Champaign referred to the Champaign in Illinois, one of the two cities that host the University of Illinois's flagship campus. When I went to YouTube, I found Dylan was performing at the original Champaign in France.
