I hope some lefties are reading us because they need to know how many of us non-lefty people think and feel. Case in point, "Alt-Right." First off, there is no Alt-Right. However, there are lots of people fed up with the recent waves of Lefty insanity which we take the trouble to post here because the MSM refuses to.

In other words, the non-existent Alt-Right is a creation of a wacko left fringe which has left truth and reality far behind.

Dangerous Faggot Milo explains it very clearly.

The left wants to make believe that a sizable silent majority does not exist. The attacks, insults and discrimination against those who are not Marxist and/or liberals is becoming insufferable. People are angry, they aren't all going Ferguson crazy but they are angry. The rioters/terrorists in Charlotte are offensive to law abiding Americans and most of us feel that the police are not allowed to effectively protect the citizens and property. Our local and national leaders don't give us any confidence that this will get better anytime soon. The totality of the problems and issues facing us and the lack of effective action by our governments, local and federal is frustrating. Most Americans today would tell you that they have lost some degree of confidence that the FBI is not corrupt. Our administration and the entire cabinet level bureaucracy is corrupt. Important laws that should protect our country and our citizens are being ignored intentionally. All of the passengers on Flight 93—and all of the victims at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon—died owing in part to a disastrously broken immigration system that didn’t then and still doesn’t serve the interests of the American people. Which also happens to be the core issue at stake in this election. It is likely, not merely possible but likely that another 9/11 much worse than the first one will happen again. Our government is failing the citizens and setting us up for disaster. Americans are angry and Obama is out golfing somewhere while Hillary is recuperating from god only knows what. "Things fall apart; the center cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world". It's gonna get worse.

I think Texan99 gets it right.
How does living in a post scarcity world and one of impressive medical strides impact our culture? They may appall us, but can we say the changes in attitude and belief that are so prevalent in our culture are as destructive now as they would have been a hundred years ago? Every post WWII generation has been increasingly cocooned and seemingly more infantilized and feminized. It's like trying to explain survival in the Alaskan Outback to someone from Tahiti. There is an old , as far as I know uncorroborated statistic, that even in America, if you were born in 1900, you had a 50/50 chance of being an orphan before you were five years old. In addition to uncertainty and the daily grind to feed, clothe, and keep yourself warm, there was always the potential for sudden tragedy. Loss, pain, and grief were a constant for almost everyone, regardless of status or wealth. Contrast that to today, in a world where there may be a 5 generation picture on the mantel.
We evolved big brains capable of making life and death decisions in milliseconds. Compared to most of human history, many people, who live in the west, are fairly coddled, living pretty safe, secure, and uneventful lives, could it be, even empty lives? Is opening your electric bill or driving on icy streets the most exciting thing you do? Maybe many folks crave drama and that is why media revolves around melodrama, and all this huge investment in faux outrage and inanities is a pathetic substitute for real life survival prerogatives.

Maybe the folks who were brain washed to value self actualization and all those middle class values like accomplishment, independence, self discipline, family life, fairness, accountability, saving, postponement of gratification, civic mindedness……….and contributing to the economic pie, are the odd men out. It’s apparent that the political class and their minions don’t have a clear vision of how the world will work as much of what is counted as labor is devalued or an economy that is not driven by scarcity in food or consumer products and security. I don’t know that my views are particularly coherent or complete but surely we realize that post WWII, the dramatic change that has impacted culture is in part, driven by technology. I don't think the misanthropes would have succeeded if this had not occurred.

I've seen references to the alt-right, but they've seemed to border on or be hysterical so I've ignored them. It seems I was right about that.

My dad has always referred to the majority as the "don't know, don't care".

They usually don't vote unless something spurs them to and then it's only on one issue that affects them, but don't pay attention to anything political because they feel it doesn't affect them, or they don't know enough to make a decision (intellectual laziness).

More and more don't know, don't care people are waking up to the fact that the power of the state is preying on them, as politicization of everything is affecting their quality of life. Jobs are being snatched away and given to the illegals. Businesses are folding because if they aren't part of the oligarchy, they can't compete.

The inability to keep food on the table and the same standard of "luxuries" is becoming obvious from the economic state of our country. THIS is when it reaches critical mass. Pain will spur action.

What's obvious to me - and those that pay attention - is that we are brainwashed or coerced into thinking that the government is the solution to everything. And it's become apparent to even the don't know, don't cares that the government is illegitamate and incompetent.

Historically, most people didn't give much thought to who was running things. One king or another, they both wanted their taxes, but otherwise left the culture alone.

So, now we have these culture warriors who not only demand the taxes, but also want to command behavior and thoughts. This forces people to disrupt their regular lives to deal with politics.

As we saw with the reaction to the Tea Party rally in DC back in 2009, the regular people deciding they have to skip the kids soccer game to deal with politics can be terrifying for the "professionals". Now, the "professionals" keep thinking they've destroyed the Tea Party, but they won't leave the people alone.

The "people", those who are being forced into caring, are going to smack back harder and harder until they are again left alone and the politics becomes like a soap opera again.

One thing Trump offers that is unique is, if elected, Trump will be the focus of all the botherers and the people will be left alone. Not to mention, the meddlers in the agencies, the DemProg operatives, will be out on their ear.

That seems directly contrary to our understanding of history. The king and Church both stringently controlled the common folk, the former their behavior, the latter their very beliefs. While there are reasonable objections that can be raised, thinking that society is absolutely in the worst shape it's ever been in before, ever, ever, ever, is a very faulty belief.

Good comments because this is not about Trump personally (IMO); luckily most of the media is too dense and myopic to realize it. Trump certainly has pulled back the curtain. I don't see how anyone, assuming they pay attention, can not be aware that so many in the government class, and its minions in media, academia, foundations, activists, and all the other paid liars, who are legion, have their legs spread for the Globalists and the Financialists, aka the paymasters.
We have Trump because he was able to self fund and manipulate the media.
I am curious as to how the minorities will go. Will they be chumps forever, easily bought off with cheap Mardi Gras beads, or fake make work government created jobs?

No, but Bird Dog used Yiannopoulos as an authoritative citation, and Yiannopoulos clearly considers the alt-right to be a real phenomenon. More particularly, Vox Day considers himself to be on the alt-right, so there is at least one INSTANCE of the CLASS. And he's not the only one. (Just read his blog.) Finally, the origins of the alt-right are on the political right, not the imaginings of the political left.

I am and have always been a very conservative person. Those in DC and elsewhere, claiming to be conservative do so many things I do not believe to be conservative. Since I am so pissed at many so called conservatives am I the "Alt-Right"? How any so called conservatives could vote for Hillary Clinton is beyond imagination.

Not necessarily.

Many traditional conservatives don't think that Trump exhibits the characteristics or philosophy of conservatism (as opposed to right-wing demagoguery); characteristics such as prudence, measure, respect for tradition, regard for long-standing institutions, and rationality over emotion.
