Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

"People cannot, they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can't even mention the words 'radical Islamic terrorism.' There's something going on. It's inconceivable. There's something going on. "
Exactly. One wonders .... What exactly is a mystery about Obama's actions?
He clearly had stated for him in his Bill Ayres-written "Dreams of My Father" that when the time comes, he, Obama would stand up for the Muslims (his fellow Muslims that is) and that's what he's doing! He is clearly on the side of the terrorists. No mystery here at all. Re: Why ‘Brexit’ makes sense
Brexit makes sense simply because the EU does not. That's a decent summary. There are economic dangers in Brexit, some trade punishing may occur as well. But the EU's gradual acquisition of power over supposedly sovereign governments is an enormous weight on one side of the balance scales.
The policy solution the Administration is pushing - let more Muslims in while disarming the gays. That should really help.
RE two warmal colding articles
this would otherwise be a good day, interesting debate topics. but I expect a flood of 30 or more lectures by the weather fetish mob. Which the preemptively religious carnists love so much that they have a handy reactionary counter dogma standing by at all times.
And this in the same thread that started with that dogma and closed asking what killed conservatism. You people are so trained. put down the thesaurus, you don't know how to use it anyway, and try again in English.
Stop using Donny BJ's moniker, Zachbot.

There is something wrong with Obama. He clearly does not like/love America and jumps at every chance to apologize for the terrorists. Trump is right about this. Obama's actions every time there is another terrorist attack or genocide by ISIS is inexplicable... Unless he intentions are the obvious intent to diminish America and raise up Islam. This isn't simply 'conspiracy theory'. This is a logical conclusion based on his actions over the years. Consider Obama's pastor Jeremiah Wright and the preaching Obama soaked up for 20 years. How could any "American" listen to that unless they believed it? When Obama's actions are looked at in their entirety it is only logical to believe he hates American and is actively working to destroy it. His zeal is only tempered, IMHO, by his desire to not tip his hand too obviously thus causing his removal from office and ending his ability to destroy our republic. Think about all the things he does in secret and the bizarre effort by all of his cabinet to prevent disclosure and to thwart the freedom of information requests. Clearly there is so much going on that we are being kept in the dark about. Honestly, what worries me more is the tacit cooperation by the MSM and the full unwavering support by the Democrats. They could not all be that stupid.
Well said, GWTW, as usual. What scares me the most is what we are going to discover he's done when he's gone. It appears there is not one crevice of our daily existence that he and his cronies haven't invaded -- like little viruses gone amok -- to destroy every aspect of our Constitutional Republic. Yes, this has been going on for some time, but this guy really socked it to us.
Sadly, he's also put in place Motor/Voter laws and millions of illegals and "immigrants" who have NO IDEA what a Constitutional Republic is, nor do they care. They just "want their stuff"! With a President Trump I think we have a hope of finding out what is 'hidden' from the general public. George W. Bush was WAY too kind when he took office in 2001 after Clinton left. The destruction to government property in the White House was rife. Yet, we hardly heard of it. Only a few snippets here and there (hoping that book by the secret service agent coming out soon will discuss that bit) about the 'w' keys being ripped off of keyboards, but ultimately there was something like $40k worth of damage done by Clinton's lackeys in the White House.
I don't see Trump being 'kind' at all. I see him as someone who would be brutally honest about what he found once he got into office. He would have no qualms about calling out Obama all over the place. "UMN students occupy Regents meeting to demand free tuition"
My alma mater '67-70...embarrassing to say the least. Although it was looney back then too. in the real world, "demand" is followed, implicitly or expressly, by "or else".
so these kids demand more free stuff. or else they'll do what? hold their collective breath until they die? leave skool and get jobs? They have good reason to believe they don't need an "or else". College administrations, by and large, are spineless, the two Democrat presidential candidate (and the rest of the party) have their backs, and Republicans have shown they're not up for much of a fight.
Maybe--make it obvious which universities are administered by people too weak-minded to cope with their students? I'm down with that. They can fade away and be replaced with universities that adopt a different approach.
