Schadenfreude, anyone? The overwrought response of OU immediately brought to mind the self righteous histrionics over Elvis Presley’s swiveling hips 60 years ago. So, I wonder if this is the pendulum swinging, generational déjà vu. It is ironic for the baby boomers to have their panties in a wad, given that they revered and embraced shock value and reveled in scatological and obscene discourse. Is it any surprise that the next generation would find this stuff funny and cute? Thanks, Black Entertainment Industry. I am not excusing this behavior, it’s just a reminder that the Boomer mentality prevailed, turned the public discourse hysterical and toxic, and diminished us all.

As a Gen X who worked for me observed back in the early '90s, the Baby Boomers grew up to make everything they did illegal for their kids to do. The Woodstocker part of that generation were just spoiled brats acting out who then tried feared such behavior from their own kids.

Kinda confusing about the Clovis ancestry. The Indian ancestors were Asian, a group known for high intelligence but the Indians never had the wheel, a written language or other developments associated with most cultures.

My first wife was part Indian. It is common that I will see an Asian who looks almost identical to her or one of her sisters. And you can see this trait even when you have no relation or close association with Amerindians. But when looking at historical and even modern pictures of Amerindians you will notice that Eastern Indians do not have the same distinctive facial characteristics as Western and South Americans natives. It is so clear to me that the two groups are either not related or more likely that the Eastern Amerindians had other genetic inputs into their gene pool. My theory is the obvious one; that Europeans who traveled to precolumbian America became part of the native gene pool.

There's solid genetic evidence that Native Americans came from Asia, perhaps in two big waves separated by a long period when the Bering Strait was not passable. There's just no credible evidence of a genetic contribution from Europe.

It's probably a mistake to try to link race-associated IQs in modern SE Asians to Native Americans whose ancestors left a different part of Asia 10,000, 15,000, or 25,000 years ago.

You are correct that "There's just no credible evidence of a genetic contribution from Europe". However I still maintain that the Eastern Indians, for what ever reason, do not look like the Western Indians and something caused that. There is almost no doubt that Europeans traveled to the America's before Columbus so that is not an unreasonable theory. It could be environmental I suppose, the Eastern forest was very different from the Western part of the country. It could be that while early immigrants to the America's from Asia made it to the East that later immigrants did not and thus they only shared their genes with Amerindians in the West. But there is a very real difference in stature and facial features between the Eastern Indians and the Western Indians. There must be an explanation.

There was a skeleton discovered in either Washington state or northern Oregon (I think) that looked very "Caucasian". The local Indians demanded it back, and rather think - unfortunately - it was handed over to them. Too bad, as would have given more clues into the origin of the Indians and - possibly - their predecessors on this continent. Suspect it was smashed to bits, rather than reverently buried as was supposed to happen.

If the theory (based on geological and mitochondrial evidence) that 10-15K years separated the two great waves of migration from Asia, that might easily explain a fairly large difference in facial structure among different groups of Native Americans. It could also be not much more complicated than that an original population split in two and diverged significantly in physiotype over many thousands of years of relatively complete mutual isolation.

The case that went before the Supreme court to decide if criminalizing sex between and underage and an over age couple was constitutional was one where the father waited until the boy turned 18 and filed charges. The girl turned 18 three days later. The Supremes upheld the conviction. Sex in many/most of it's forms is illegal. It is illegal for any child under the age of 18 to have sex (16 in some states and 15 in one state) even with another child the same age. Does it really make any sense to charge an 18 year old with rape, convict them, send them to jail and have them report as a sexual predator for the rest of their life? One of my sister's in law likes to brag about here promiscuity when she was young. She happily claims she had sex with more than half the boys at her high school. Should all of those boys gone to jail? If there was just one should he have gone to jail or be charged pr register as a sex offender? Should any consensual sex be illegal?

Diversity for the left (which obviously includes much of NYC, college campi, and government) means people of different color all following the left's approved script and thought process.

When people of color don't agree with the left, they are not examples of diversity, they are traitors to their race, Uncle Toms, or even racists (against their own race).

Fifty years ago, many of the babies born on the Navajo reservation arrived in this world with a small dark spot on the base of the spine. I was told then that the northern Japanese have the same temporary mark. IMHO the folks from Japan/Korea were able to travel across the Pacific region via a land/sea bridge of some sort and landed in Alaska and walked down the western side of the Rocky Mountains. Some moved over to the plains. However, the folks east of the plains were from different stock and one needs to look to the Northern European groups for that--Sami or such. It is interesting to note here that the Finnish language is very close to the Japanese in several ways and is the only Euro language to include both Hungarian and Japanese among other traits. I trust good science--but, am no longer able to trust scientists!

My Puerto Rican friend's daughter had the same spot that the family inherited from a Negro great-grandparent. Apparently, many, but not all, of their babies in that lineage carried such a birth coloration, which disappeared within a few months.

Just as the Nazis had a right to march in Skokie, Ill. back in the '70s, the SAE students at OU have the right to sing a racist song. Now those students were kicked out for singing that song. Instead, they should have left on their own when the rest of the student body shunned them.

Good news? What would be good news is if congress had smacked these bureacratic jibber jabbers back into a cubby hole, where they would not even think about purposing such nonsense. Then cut the budget of every single one of these undemocratic monstrosities, or better yet get rid of them! That would be good news! I want my republic back. We barely live in a democracy.

I thought the ATF was a law enforcement agency? Since when did they become a regulatory agency with the authority to write rules and regulations?

Or have they always had this power and I have just missed it?

If they could ban certain types of ammo, does that mean they could also ban certain types of alcohol or tobacco?

Stands to reason. I don't believe 0bama wanted to help Ukraine in the first place.

It may be too late in the game to help them at this point. I read last week they are running out of food.

I believe sending them weapons may have been a good thing. Would have caused additional pain for Russia, and that in itself would have been a good thing. Perhaps helping Ukraine would change Putin's calculations on confronting the Baltic States?
