We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
It does look great after a snowfall, though I do not care to move back to Northern Winters anytime soon. NC, where I have lived for almost 30 years now, is about as far North as I want to live. 22 years of Michigan winters cured me of them. :)
It is so beautiful! Do not worry. I will not covet your snow, not a bit, not one whit. Looks like it would be difficult to find a golfing ball in all of that. It will be 68°F today at my HQ. A flock of robins (must be 30 of those guys) will be in the hayfield excavating grubs; harbringers, you know? The ancient maple tree is budded out in red preparing for photosynthesis in a few more lengthening days. It is March with all of its madness (basketball aside) and who knows what the weather will bring? She came in like a lamb. It is March in the southland and the equinox and April showers are not far off. Tis the wane of winter and I am looking forward to my summer uniform of shorts and T-shirts.
Keep your beauty and all that it entails; and I will keep mine.
