Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Moose #2

Somebody mentioned a Moose going into a car through a windshield. Here's a variation on that theme.

Looks like the occupants were lucky to have the roof peeled off the top and moose deposited on trunk - yikes!

My husband and his brother were stopped on HWY 34 in WY one night, it was snowing and the roads were closing. They were in a Honda Civic. Only car on the road, were waiting for plow to come back their direction. While waiting, they were spotlighting. Spotlighted a herd of antelope (about 20 of them) running down the highway toward them.

Needless to say, it took some time to convince the auto insurance company that well... Yes they DID get run over by a herd of antelope!!

My favorite is still the story about a woman who hit a moose on the way to visit her sister who was in the hospital after hitting a moose (http://news.nationalpost.com/2010/06/22/b-c-woman-hits-moose-on-way-to-visit-sister-who-hit-moose/)
