We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Best commentary on Hillary thus far


At Zero, Hillary: "Business Does Not Create Jobs", Washington Does. Well, she's been living off a government check for how long? Works for her.  A quote:



People forget, but Hillary was really President – not Bill. Just 4 days after taking office, Hillary was given the authority to start a task force for healthcare reform. The problem was, her vision was unbelievable. The costs upon business were oppressive so much so that not even the Democrats could support her. When asked how was a small business mom and pop going to pay for healthcare she said if they could not afford it they should not be in business. From that moment on, my respect for her collapsed. She revealed herself as a real Marxist.

With this type of thinking prevalent among our ruling masters, things will get much worse before they get better.

In 1995 the state of Tennessee enacted Hillary care and called it Tenncare. The first year budget was 2.5 billion. In 2004 the budget had increased to 8 billion. Tenncare was the largest line item in the state budget and was well on it's way to consuming the entire state budget. Tenncare had to be drastically scaled back because it was simply unaffordable.

In the blue hell I live in (New York) while stuck in traffic, I saw two cars with "Ready for Hillary!" bumper stickers. I'd say that in order to be "ready for Hillary!" one should have at least five years of food clothing, gold, fuel, and gunshot stockpiled in one's basement. Because if we have sixteen years in a row of this commie government, there aint' going to be much material left, and there will be all sorts of scavenging going on.

That was just a peek under the covers. Almost all the Democrats are socialists/communists under the covers. They are so accustomed to talking like this to their fellow traveler that they slip up sometimes and say it when the people are listening. Usually the MSM will cover it up and make it like it never happened. But this time you got a peek at how they think. It's because Democrats think like this that we have trilling dollar deficits and $18 trillion in debt. It's also why we spend anout $1.2 trillion a year on the many welfare programs and uncounted billions on subsidies to cronies and friends of friends. We live in a socialist oligarchy and they are bleeding us to death with taxes and bureaucracy. Don't believe it? Elect the crazy commie B... I mean witch and see.
