We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Really, the dumbest college course? There are a lot of dumb college courses out there, I'm not sure we can make this qualitative determination.
But keep in mind, before Miley Cyrus became a college course, she was deemed worthy of serious academic study. Determined that the study/course would not bring derision from peers to the academic.
My girl took my rifle after playing with my gun. She pulled the trigger on both, and, bang, they were done. I get so excited when I think of girls liking guns.
If I ran a college, I wouldn't mind idiot college courses like the one on Miley Cyrus or women studies, queer studies, etc. as long as they pay for themselves and do not count for a degree requirement. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the course on Miley would count toward a degree. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a degree in Miley. After all, you can get one in women studies (not men studies though).
"Yankee rebels: Why We Won't Yield To Unconstitutional Gun Law"
Gonna be interesting to see if they get a respectable number of people to show up at the April 5, 2014 gun rights rally at the CT state capitol. And by respectable I mean 50,000 plus. A number that might get some attention.
And I have my doubts. I have not seen a great deal of energy or gumption emanating from the comfortably middle class, middle aged white guys these days. I saw plenty of patience for standing in line to comply with an unconstitutional law though. I did see that.
That the Russians would react poorly to our meddling in their sphere of influence seems to evade our best and brightest.
Spiritual battles and contemporary politics does bring to mind the Cult of Reason, Cult of the Supreme Being, Imperial Catechism, of the French Revolution and Napoleon, and the Supreme Ideologist of the old politburo.
Evangelicals ignore sin? Does seem that way while the rationalist, atheistic crowd preaches the sins of sexism, racism, etc.
