Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Somebody needed to tell the moderator that THE MICROPHONE IS THERE FOR A REASON!!!

Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine. It's an interesting psychology in that the moderator thinks he is talking to the audience but he's really conversing with the author (in terms of using the microphone that is) to the exclusion of the audience - another way to explain it is he's having a private conversation in public.

Interesting though even though the voice levels were terrible. Guy obviously has a sense of humor.

My thoughts about this are not nice thoughts. But, I will put a nasty spin on them anyway. Let's say China misbehaves. Like, more than usual and it gets really aggressive about those rocks in the ocean it wants. So, we tell them to behave or else. What's the, or else? It's making the North Koreans believe we are going to invade from the south via propaganda broadcasts and sonic booms and such. Then, watch em all run for the border. The north border. Millions of mindless drones flooding China. What a picture. Yes, I am unwell and so am I.
