Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I support this - it besmirches such a noble people with the moniker of dysfunction, obfuscation, discouragement.

As I wrote before, the owner of the Redskins should move the team to Los Angeles, giving him both a fig leaf of an excuse to rename the team and thereby avoid the aggravation that's coming mostly from white folks who don't give a damn about football, and also sweet revenge on the politicians in DC who want to gain politically by butting into something that's none of their (official) business. The NFL is turning into the No Fun League. Oh how I pine for the days of leather helmets and a simpler world!
