We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
It's special isn't it--that unobstructed, long-range view? Why is that? I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the impact this vista has and why you think that happens.
Such an interesting question on the long range view. I sense in it a freedom without boundaries. On the other hand, the pup drove West with a guy from a gritty urban part of Boston, and his reaction to the Southwest was panic: no sirens, car alarms, walls, barbed wire fences, community organizers, or homeless people. He felt he had to get near people, any people, as soon as possible. Dr. Joy Bliss: is this Kenophobia?
