We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
J J Cale was a long-time favorite of mine, I remember buying the single "Crazy Mama" backed by "Don't go to Strangers" even before "Naturally" was released. He kept a special groove through many, many fine songs, and was a very special guitar master. Great tone, economy of playing, spaced the notes in his own way. Lived his life as he wanted, and didn't get caught up in the whole music business/entertainment nonsense. A true original, and his few tours in recent years were still amazing, check out Youtube for his 2010 tour with Eric Clapton. Sad that he's gone already.
