Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Rush's point is brilliant. I always wondered why Obama never actually acts like he's in charge.
"it will not be possible to connect Obama to the negativity that’s happening in the country today because he’s campaigning against it himself. That’s the reason for the perpetual, never-ending campaign. It is why, in eight years, he will never allow himself for even one day to be seen as actually governing or presiding over any of this." Toon via Theo was in National Review Online a couple days ago.
I'm guessing the meteor couldn't be intercepted and hit with a missile without an almost impossible amount of luck. And wasn't this a timely event, with a bigger one supposed to pass by today. Philanthropy should only come from the gummint! Regular people just give to whomever/whatever without proper vetting an organization! That's just wrong! TIME: Shooting themselves in the foot didn't help any, either. No Plastic Cups! Only paper! Cut down trees, YES! NJSoldier, this is why he blames everything on BUSH!!!!1!! and claims to be an innocent bystander. There are only three possibilities for Obama's actions:
1. He is clueless and perhaps believes he can make us all equal if he just takes enough from those who have "too much". And somehow he was just the luckiest guy in the world and got all his education and stuff for free and nothing sinister is responsible for it all... 2. He is a Chicago style politician giving money and favors to the unions and corrupt element in return for votes but cannot see anything past this or know what to do next. He is like the dog who chases cars and finally one day catches one and is confused so he pisses on it. He will continue to give stuff away until it is all gone and will leave power claiming it wasn't his fault and the only satisfaction the citizens will ever get is to see him in a perp walk on the 5:00 news one day. 3. He is the Manchurian candidate and yes someone pulls his strings, paid for his schools and home and guided him through the normal tests and background checks to get where he is. Someone had something on Ted Kennedy (what else could Ted have done that we don't already know?) and blackmailed old Ted into pushing Obama into office. He has a plan for us all and it involves destroying our economy and our defense so that we can be taken over by his puppeteers. I no longer know which of these is true but I for one am hoping it ends in a perp walk. I don't know which one he is, but it doesn't look like it will end in a perp walk. I see a lot of parallels, on the surface at least, between the way Roosevelt and Obummer are perceived by the public. Roosevelt was elected over and over in spite of the fact that employment never rose above double digits (and there was no unemployment or welfare back then!). Roosevelt skated on the feeling that he was doing his best even though he made things worse (at best, he didn't improve things).
Obummer's policy positions are not as popular as he is. The press will give him a pass on everything. He certainly hasn't made any structural improvements to the economy (or the infrastructure he continues to bleat on about), yet he is perceived as somebody who is working as hard as he can to make a bad situation better when in reality, he is part of the reason we are in this situation. I think you are right that it won't end in a "perp walk" but I think it will end much like it did for Clinton in that he will plead guilty to crimes and face legal actions. I also think that much like Clinton nothing much will come of it all and the media will totally coverup his pleas and punishments. Obama will make $20-$50 million a year giving speeches and pimping for the Saudi's and other special interest groups. Maybe down the Road Michelle will move to New York and run for Senator and later be appointed as Secretary of State. Maybe that is how we treat our discredited and dishonest ex-presidents now.
QUOTE: Russsian jets intercept meteor glad to see the russians doing their part to stop GlobalWarmering (c)(r)(tm). but I have doubts over this story, their air force couldn't intercept a piper cub a few years ago. Sheesh--you wanna bet?
Wanna bet she gets off without jail time? http://nation.time.com/2013/02/15/ex-san-diego-mayor-admits-gambling-1-billion-in-casinos/ It is no coincidence that it is a woman leading this campaign in WA state. What this movement really does is dumb down the education in this profession, i.e., makes more jobs available to lesser trained, lesser educated, and just plain dumber groups of precious people. Most frighteningly it creates another class of people who will be considered expert (obedient) trendsetters who will help lead us away from the constitution.
It is no secret that in WA state the legal secretaries have at least as much control over the justice system as the white men who are the lawyers, probably in reality it is the secretaries who have the power. Just ask the barrister if he has young white men for assistants and secretaries? How would that upset the power balance in his firm? Would the young white male secretaries be as effective behind the scenes in dealing with the female secretaries of other firms? That social network is POWERFUL! I've seen the biz from file clerk/court runner to running my own firm and including acting as my own secretary when I was just starting out and when they won't work at 2.00am on weekdays. and I think the most important job is the one I was doing at the time. but the idea that secretaries run the legal system is merely myopic, the blather about "young white men" is incomprehensible.

The multiculturalism plague in Sweden REally poorly written. I wondered if this was translated from another language. Takes an effort to understand the point. Makes references to the "Frankfurt School," without clarifying what or why > |
