We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Sounds a bit like strawberry cheesecake...Cruel to post that recipe right before New Year's resolutions (or for those of us already doing penance for Christmas greed and gluttony...) :)
In the same vein but heavier, try this strawberry shortcake variation. My wife and I found this a couple of years ago. It has become a favorite.

Mix of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries
Add just enough good white balsamic vinegar (I actually use a coconut white balsamic) to coat all the berries. Add just enough sugar to sweeten slightly. Let sit in fridge for an hour.
Would be great served over the marscapone mixture above or with a whipped cream that has a dash of rum in it.
