We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Wilbert was good on Let's Stick Together too (1962):
Buddy likes Joe Morello's drum solo here on Take Five:
For people like me who know nothing about drums, this is fascinating: Around the Drum Kit by an older Joe Morello. (It's mostly introductory after his initial solo). After watching it, I can sorta get what he was doing on the previous Youtube. Drums do talk:
And for something completely stupid, here's a Boston Christmas (h/t reader):
Murphy's even funnier the second watch --it starts with him stealing that cookie and the cut to the snarl on the baker's face uttring a silent, naw, not a profanity, it's the name of a bystander, Yuzzona Fubbish
and that Morello how-to vid, with him up high to the camera and half-lit mirror shades black shirt black background no fill lighting, it's like you're in a tempest and suddenly the clouds part and there's this ten thousand foot tall guy revealed, and he sees you looking up, and says ''ok, I guess you want ta know how to do creation, ok, here's how you create a mountain -ta bump ta bump bump mountain RANGE? tadadadadada BUMP ta BUMP bump the ocean SEA bump ta bump some DUCKS? bump bump some TURTLES? tadata dadada bump LOVE bump sh'bump PEACE bumpbumpbump HAPPINESS tadada tadada bump bump bump
