We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Re-posted because it's so good, because it's been in my brain all week, and because it's stormy here today:
Gonna make a lot of money, gonna go up north I'll plant and I'll harvest what the earth brings forth The hammer's on the table, the pitchfork's on the shelf For the love of God, you ought to take pity on yourself
Listened to this a couple of times already today, because the CD is in my wife's Pilot. I like the sound system. 6 CD's below, and one for me up top. I keep a Dylan CD in the car for when I drive it (she lets me). The vocals and music just can't get any better.
Here's a scat blues off "New Morning" --with Dylan talkin' blues, an Ella Fitzgerald-sound from a backup scat singer, clean walkin' acoustic bass fiddle, and somebody pretty dang good on acoustic piano.
