Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Tuning out Obama

The press will remain loyal because he's a Lefty and because he's a black dude, but he's been shooting foul shots for over three years and missing the basket. Had his chance for two years until he pissed off the nation and lost the House, and since then he's been blaming other people. Blaming others is not attractive in an adult.

I love all the media references to Obama the "hoops star" jock. The constant videos of him taking that weak ass jump shot, pick-up games with NBA players, etc.
He was a third string bench warmer, whining for more playing time on The Punaho School varsity, which wasn't exactly the Power Memorial High School of the Islands.

He couldn't box out my grandmother.

He's that player that took a shot every time the ball came to him regardless of the situation and only passed if he was totally covered up. He's also that player that fussed at everyone else for missing a shot and not passing him the ball more.

I hated playing with those players.

In other words, he not only thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, but he's the best player on the court. That fits. In his dreams he probably thinks he's LeBron James. He's no LBJ.

It's funny how the ever-so-polite VDH cannot bring himself to speak the truth and call out Obama for what he is, a liar.
