We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I've suggested this in the past and totally agree with your move. Not only is Sunday the least-viewed day of the week, but throw in how the readership goes down during the summer and a bunch of Sunday links is simply a waste of time. Far better to just save them for Monday when people are at work and can get paid for reading them.
In lieu of links, you could have a "Sunday Open Thread", where the gang can spout off about whatever they want. Ace used to have a 'Thursday Open Thread' every week that was lots of fun. Some of us would take it seriously and write full-length blog posts, rather than the usual inane, flippant sharp, penetrating comments we'd normally leave. It's a thought.
