Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

CTRL-ALT-DEL used to reboot a computer.
Surely that is not implied.

Actually, Crtl-Alt-Del takes you to the task manager, where you can end a program (application) or a process.

I'm talking about the early 1980s, when I worked at Digital Research.
They were the developers of CP/M, the main microcomputer operating system, which was rebooted with Ctrl-Alt-Del, if memory serves.

This sign is on the "eastern shore" (also called the "Del-Mar-Va" peninsula) in Maryland, which is much more conservative than the rest of the People's Republic, found closer to DC.

I saw a sign on I 70 less than an hour from Baltimore/DC that had a picture of Obama and maybe it was Boehner, but wasn't sure who it was. The sign said "Economic Idiots".
