Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Obviously the Kingston Trio (that's the title), Roy & Dale, Ernest Tubb, Minnie Pearl & Betty Johnson,The Everly Brothers & Johnny Cash. Don't recall the rest right now...

The only one I don't know is Betty Johnson. Never heard of her, that I can remember.

Jess, that's Jack Paar, not Parr.

Gobel once opened his show standing next to a mound of something. He said "This here is a hill of beans. That's what my teachers told me I'd never amount to a of."

I didn't recognize Johnny Cash on sight, but there's no mistaking that voice! And I got the Everly Bros. by sight and sound, and Minnie Pearl by her dangling tag, and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans by sight.
