Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

It's All Right

"End of the Line." Reader reminded me this one, with the then recently-late Roy Orbison's guitar in the rocking chair, and with George Harrison with his cancer growing, unknown, inside him. Dylan? Just a humble member of the group.


Good tune (not embeddable, but well-worth the effort of pushing the link). Good fellows making music. I love it. I'd guess Captain Tom would love it too.


"Well, it's all right, even if you're old and gray..."


 Gotta remember to tell Pastor that, if I get hit by a truck, he can play this tune in church. "It's all right...we're going to the end of the line."

Great tune! Thanks, BD!

Did I hear Roy Orbison in that? I had always assumed he died before this song was recorded and they memorialized him with his guitar in the chair, but it there was a part that sounded like him...

Roy recorded his singing, but passed away before the video was shot. When his part comes up, the scene darkens (as if the train were going through a tunnel). Note the expressions on their' faces ...

Wow..... been a long time. Thanks for posting this. I had forgotten what a great mix of musicians the TW's were

BTW BD.....Maggies is almost a daily stop for this native New Mexican. Just a great place for thought provoking commentary and great entertainment
