Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

If you were to take a North American from around 1300 and transport him to current times, he would say "Life as we know it has ended".

Now, whether he would be better off or not may be debatable, but life is change.

No corn farmers needed. This is sourced from used cooking oil and from algae.

I thought jet fuel was very similar to diesel. In any case, isn't $16/gal a bit rich? This sounds like a Solyndra deal.

It's Worse Than We Thought - global warming

This idea is firmly rooted in the hearts and minds of those who worship mother earth. They are like the movie zombies that keep multiplying and attacking the sane people.

There is too much money involved in this scam to let it go. Who doesn't want to use tax payer money to attend conferences in Durban and Bali? After all we are saving the world.

I can see why the Smart Car is tanking. the cheapest model is over 12k WITHOUT A/C OR A RADIO.

You can get a newish, small 4-door sedan for less than that.

The only people who buy would by this are od people with more money than sense, yuppies living in the middle of a city with more money than sense, and hippies.

But hippies can't buy it because hippies don't have any money.

Or sense.
