And they called it 'generational theft'

This has been floating around recently and I thought it deserved a spot here.

The Debt Generation speaks:

Dear Republican National Committee: Come the general election, please discourage our candidate from running any self-promotional ads. Just run variations of the above over and over and over and over and over again, covering all ages, styles, types and classes of Americans.

That should be enough.

Apart from the casting and script, which were perfect, what was particularly impressive about the production is that they didn't just grab some canned music off the shelf; this is an actual choreographed piece. It's all patriotic-y at the beginning, as you'd expect with their starry-eyed Obama worship, then pauses right as the girl says "But he friggin' made me pay for it", then goes serious as their gripes are aired, then starts building back up to patriotic-y again, but with a slightly more majestic feel to it, then ends with a strong sound of resolution as the last speaker says, "Kiss my debt-ridden ass, Big O."

Kudos to all those involved.

Excellent! According to the media, all college students think they should get a free education. I'm glad to see that these students opened their eyes to the real world. My boss calls it head-pop, as when your head pops out of your .....

Aww, if it was only that simple. We could just vote him out and put in a Republican, who of course wouldn't pursue his own spending agenda. Sorry kids, the plan to increase your debt started a long time ago under successive democrat and republican administrations. But it's only natural to blame the guy who's there now. But maybe try and take a longer view this time and see the true timeline of the problem and not be so quick to accept the promises of the candidate who promises to right the wrongs you're complaining about.

What if one of the candidates talks about taking the longer view this time and sees the true timeline of the problem? Wouldn't the one 'historian' in the group qualify?

Does anyone other than a college Republican get motivated by a professor? An economist grandfather should qualify, too. So would that crazy/hot lady with the 23 kids.

If it be true that a Republican is a mugged Democrat, these kids should all be Republicans by now.
The sad thing is that Obama can count on a majority of young Americans to vote for him in 2012.
Ignorance is remediable.
12 years of public education is not.

The next generation inherits the debt but also the means to repay it, namely the bonds.

What they actually lose is their inheritance.

Not a black kid among them. In response, the Democrats as usual will shout RAAAACIST! as if that trumps all criticism of Obama and his failed presidency. They do not want a dialog about our nation's future. They want power. They will not brook criticism or dissent. What they once said was a patriotic duty, they now label as unpatriotic and racist. There is no compromising with the Democrats. They have poisoned the public forum beyond our ability to find the proper antidote.
