American architecture: Name that style

My last house quiz was not Greek Revival. It was Adam style - an unusual end-gable Adam.

Style and approx date, if you can, of this elegant house in Deerfield, MA. Don't say "colonial" - that was an era but is not a design style - although there is something called Colonial Revival. I am having fun learning about this.

Is this one too easy?

Georgian. And no, nothing is ever 'too' easy. This is entertainment time. If i want challenge, i'll watch network tv, and ruminate on the Vast Wasteland.

...and there's a question --who authored that phrase, in describing tv?

Newt Minow, chairman of the FCC, in a TV speech in 1961. "1961" reads the same if you turn it upside down.

Chiming in with the name of our early 60's Ryan built home: "Garrison Colonial". I have no idea where that name came from, however we bought the home from the 2nd owners in '86. Supposedly it is a Garrison Colonial due to the center hallway.

Adam style is an aristocratic mode of interior design and architecture which flourished in Britain late in the 18th century.

There is no Adam style American architecture. There is only Greek Revival.

This house is an ordinary center chimney Georgian colonial house, tricked out with a later Neoclassical entrance and faux corner tablature.
