Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

QQQ

It's nice to be able to walk over to the New York Public Library on my lunch break.


The Bird Dog lad, who can be a master of understatement. I view it as a great privilege and opportunity for him to have the chance to work in Manhattan. It's all good.

I used to be able to do that, though I had to walk up 5th avenue a ways, and cheat a little about how long my lunch break took. . . .

On an unrelated trip to New York I spent an extremely productive day there doing thesis research. I can't overstate how handy it is to have such a deep collection at your disposal.
