How to be multiculturally-sensitive to Muslim massacres of the innocent. Yes, true multiculturalism means accepting "differences," and the Jihadists are just basically misunderstood persons, like Charles Manson was.

It's all our (evil Western Civilization's) fault that many Muslims seem to like to kill people who are different from them. We all accept that responsibility, don't we?

After all, true cultural understanding means understanding that some may lack moral agency, human empathy, and the idea of the "brotherhood of man," as we understand these quaint bourgeois notions from our culturally-limited viewpoint.

Junkie ... I'm pretty certain that you don't believe that "load of old cobblers" as our Brit brethren call it. Brutality, cruelty and the like are never countenanced by Western, Judeo-Christian thought. But they are accepted and suggested by the Koran, the Muslim's instruction manual, as correct treatment for infidels. And anyone who is not a practicing Muslim is considered an infidel, and thus fair game for any Muslim who wants to kill an infidel to*get in good* with the Muslim heirarchy.

I gave up on multiculturalism a loong time ago, about the time I abandoned political correctness. Life is a lot easier for me as a Western Christian if I don't have to twist myself into knots to condone the uncondonable, which is what Islam requires. These folks are stuck back in 800 A.D. When they have the courage to move forward to 2011 A.D.. then we can talk. Maybe.

No amount of hand-wringing can supplant the obvious - they do not play well with others, and, its their ways or death - period. Nothing else matters.

We in the West, blinded/ham-strung by the Multi-cultists, are doomed, unless we recognize it as a threat, not a 'nuanced difference', often cited. Sorry, I rather like living in this 'Modern' civilization (sans the touchy-feely meme and the loss of common sense, personal responsibility, and personal liberty).

I really don't think that I could prosper under another 'submission' authority, seeing how many others we currently labour under....

How is it that the Spanish and most of Europe knew this in their bones 600 years ago? Nothing since has changed since then except new Western beliefs based on wishful thinking.
