Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

If I remember correctly, Sam Addams was a major figure in the Sons of Liberty. His cousin John was embarrassed by this action and urged the community to make amends. He felt it demonstrated a lawless mob that could not govern itself. John was also the defender of the British soldiers charged with murder in the Boston Massacre several years before.

As i remember, Missy Poor Shot said "We can't party like it's 1773."

An ancestor of mine (James Stoddard) was in the Boston Tea Party. He was 17 at the time.
In fact, a majority of those in the Tea Party (whose ages were known) were under 20.
