Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

--nice comments under the Ailes article./.."i wish Ailes would die already" ... "i wish Ailes and everybody who watches Fox garbage would catch stage 4 cancer" ... "Fox watchers don't deserve to live in this country" ... and the like. Good lord, so many lefties are SO nasty and SO un-self-aware.

I mean, heh heh, i feel the same way about THEM, but i know i'm wrong to be so harsh, and am ashamed of myself for it --well, a wee bit.

I like the video. A simple illustration of the rule hammered into my head during Macro Econ:

Government Spending is a drag on the economy.
The drag can be described as the Net Present Value of EXPENIDUTES minus transfer payments (the money given back to the restaurateur minus cost of goods sold).

How the government acquires the money – borrowing, taxing, or printing it – is important only in its affect on behavior.
